My thinking is if the FDA tells Julies it's okay, and then all these vape shops are still selling, then why can't we purchase nicotine for DYI? It makes no sense to me. Do you think this crazy war will be over with in about 1 year so all DYI's can go back making their own juice?
Maybe us vapors should start talking about taking away Alcoholic drink, as compared to driving and drinking and driving and vaping, which is worst?

DIY is still in progress. Just get some base, plenty of DIY suppliers not restricted in shipping, can even buy scales and amber bottles off Amazon. Its the pre made flavors that are in trouble. Stock up on nic now if want to DIY. Since I am newbie, got the measuring stuff, various types of bottles, pipettes, gloves (must have if working with 100mg nic base). and some one shots (I am finding that some tobacco pre mix added to lemon kustard vapetasia in a pod, delicious, couldn't get enough last night). If you have some heavy liquids like vapetasia on hand, then can up nic levels and add a 30/70 mix to lower that concentration.

Now, I just need vaping equipment from online, since the local vape shops are raising prices on even coils and replacement tanks/pods. need some more mods (I don't vape the same flavor all day, each pod gets its own juice, some with a mix of juices, pre made).

Probably the percentage of nic that is vaped in DIY form is quite a small percentage of the total so it's not a big deal for the sellers to lose that part of the market. I can see how they would let that go rather than take a chance on drawing attention from the authorities by shipping to DIYers. They don't know what be happening a year from now any more than we do. Just hanging on and doing business while they can.

I imagine eventually they will swing back the opposite direction on this just like with intoxicants that they have banned in the past and then brought back. However I don't think it'll be anytime soon. It's really easy to not care about repercussions when it's not your dollar paying for people slowly dying from smoking cigarettes. They can put on their little political show act like they care smoking is already on the rise they like to blame the pandemic but according to the powers that be the triggers that make people smoke would actually have been reduced during the pandemic. Stress went up surely but person places and things or what causes triggers and those things were in short supply or shorter than usual supply over the past two years. So the only conclusion that I can draw is it's their war on vaping that had smoking go up for the first time in decades. Anyhow it's easy when it's profitable to allow people to slowly die from smoking if it ever becomes a situation where the government actually has to avoid their citizens dying slowly because it costs them money then maybe they will see things a different way. But in the meantime just make sure you have what you need.

The shipping ban is about making it hard for minors to get vape gear. Has nothing to do with Juul.

When pushed my local VAPE shop showed me a 120ml bottle that was filled 1/2 way with unflavored nic base - ~$8.00. I did not ask what mg the base was.

The vape shop figures when the 'flavor ban' goes into full effect they will be out of business as premade juice is what is keeping their business alive. The lad behind the counter mentioned that I was the only person that ever inquired about unflavored base before.

Last I looked there were a few vendors still selling unflavored NIC base to consumers but the list is dwindling fast.

Thankfully I stocked up years ago and have a lifetime supply. Flavoring and VG should always be available.
