I have a 510 and i also have a fifty one. The fifty one is so simple can just drip some liquid into the old cartomizer and smoke away. The 510 is great when its not flooded, dry or has fibers on the atomizer. Just seems like a real chore to keep it going without the burnt taste or flooding it out. When it works it works great plenty of vap and good throat hit. The fifty one works great aslo great vap and throat hit, sometimes get just a bit to much liquid and have to blow some out but not near the hassle of the 510. I have tried the blue foam mod (in fact using it now) also tried it with the straw and blue foam sitting on top.So ill use the fifty one as my main. Just my 2 cents worth ..

I was a huge fan of the 510 when I started vaping. I really needed those huge clouds of vapor to satisfy my cravings. Now I use the 901 attys mostly. Flavor is more important at this point over TH and vapor production.

After using the 901, 510 attys tend to provide no flavor. Flavors that I love on a 901 taste like cardboard on a 510.

lol I actually just got my first 901 a few days ago and thought it just the opposite. Not that I find the taste on the 901 to be bad but just not quite as distinctive as on the 510. Funny how these things vary person to person.

I'm a total noob here. I bought the e-cig from Smoking Everywhere kiosk at the mall. I'm not sure what model or atomizer I have- looks like a regular cigarette.

Can someone tell me if they know what kind of atty I have and if I can replace with another for more vapor production?

Also- I've just started dripping some juice directly on the element, and the replacing the cart on the end- getting lots of vapor, but is this going to burn up my element?

Thanks,

You can drip on a Blu, I have been for over a month but would not recommend it. You can drown the atomizer easily (4 drops is pushing it) and have no luck with a blank cart. So dripping end up kind of pointless when you are filling carts anyways because empty cart dripping yields no vapor really. However, I am finding the same true with my 510. I drip 4-5 drops and get TONS of vapor but no flavor. This is with a blank cart though, I will try with a filled 510 cart and am guessing will have better luck. then again, this is after a day of vaping and coffee drinking, I've noticed that sense of vapor taste and sensitivity to vapor strength lessen more and more as the day progresses.

 happy valentines day!

Thanks,

you have a RN4081 (4081 Atty). Most will tell you not to drip with that PV because you have an automatic battery which has a hole in the tip so juice "could" run through the atty and directly into the battery causing damage.

Thats the first unit I bought as well and I didn't care for it. My favorite now is the KR808 (Vapor King from V4L) BUT I have also purchased a Joye 510 for dripping. I don't care for the 510 using carts but dripping I find I get a ton of vapor AND flavor.

Hope that helps.

I'm finding dripping works great for me on the 510, it's the only way really. But I find the 510 is a juice hog, I go through around twice the amount of liquid as my M401, for the same amount of vapor. I love the 510 for those times I need the big vapor clouds, but for flavor and to make the juice last, I go with my M401.

I have a 510 as well. I like it but cartrige life could be better, refill my own by the way. The PTB mod (pushed in) works well for me alltho I havent tried the blue foam yet.

I do seem to have to re-top off a lot with any method I have tried.
This is a very good model to start off with but get a PCC with it.

I thought I would check out something with a cartomizer so I ordered a GreenCig kit from Drew at NHaler. Cant wait to try this out I have high hopes on the GreenCig's cart design.
Should be here in a few days.

Update: they came today yesss.....charging........
