IMHO, take reviews for what they are -- one persons taste preferences.

I have had so many people say they dislike my favorite flavors that I give reviews very little regard. I try them myself and judge for myself. There are flavors others love that I can't stand as well.

So, my advice, for what it's worth, is to take it all with a grain of salt. If something sounds good, try it yourself. Also, find people who like what you've tried and liked. They probably have similar tastes to yours and may be a better source than just any random review poster. Also, flavors vary a lot with nicotine strength. (I love Mt. Do at 11 mg. but think the 18 mg. is awful!) So, it's good to find out what strength the reviewer uses, as they may be reviewing something that tastes far different than it does at your preferred strength.

Just got to thinking about this while reading reviews and thought it made sense. I hope you all find the perfect flavor!:D

I think a WELL WRITTEN review can be very helpful. For example, say two different people review... let's just randomly choose Blueberry Cobbler.

Person A's review says, "OMG! I LOVE this flavor! It's the best one I had since I started vaping!" That's not a particularly helpful review unless you know the poster and also know your tastes are very similar to theirs.

Person B's review says, "This flavor was a lot stronger than I expected. There's a really strong cinnamon flavor that overpowers the blueberry more than I would like, and the blueberry doesn't taste quite as blueberry-y as I would like." This is a useful review. It tells you what you can anticipate in the flavor, how intense it is, etc. This review might even persuade you to buy it, despite the fact that the review isn't particularly glowing.

You see the difference between the two? One is a thumbs-up/thumbs-down approach to reviewing, the other is more descriptive of what you can expect to find in the flavor. I think we see a lot of the first kind of review because people get excited when they find a new flavor they love.

I wouldn't discourage anyone from reviewing. But please, try to be descriptive, beyond just "good" and "bad". Tastes are too subjective for "good" and "bad" to have much meaning.

Agreed. Well put!:D

Great thread and so true! Peoples tastes are so subjective so it makes sense to try them yourself, learned that early on. Reminds me back in the 70's when i was pregnant, I HAD to have pickled herring for some reason, for weeks I ate those fish!
I never had them again, but at the time i thought it was the best thing ever ;)

I have to say too, for many flavors like French Vanilla Ice Cream, for instance, that so many say tastes like sour milk........that was my first impression. I put it aside, picked it up again the next week and have been hooked since. I now love it, love it. I have not liked any of the chocolates, but I have them on hold and feel that someday they will also become one of my favs, so all that being said, our tastes are ever changing!
