Well, I've been noticing since vaping that the back, top of my tongue and back sides is sore. Like feels bruised. Trying to figure out if it's definitely vape related or not. I'm thinking possibly from the shaping of the tongue when drawing in air, or perhaps the nic on the tongue?

I use 12mg typically and am not a constant vaper.

Anyone else experience this? I read a thread on teeth pain, but I haven't had that problem, and if I did I'd chalk it off to grinding, which I do, and/or sinus issues, which I have. But this tongue thing has got me weirded out a bit.

i havent had this problem when i started vaping so not sure what it could be but someone will chime in if they have had the same problem. it could be because your used to drawing on a stinky and trying to do the same with your e-cig. dont use it like a smoke, draw slow and you might have better luck with that. its kind of like learning how to smoke all over agin but with an ecig congrats on quitting keep up the good work and welcome to ecf

What pg/vg ratio are you using, and what is your tank/atty setup?

I found a juice that I didn't have any problems with when using an iclear30 tank, caused similar feelings on my tongue when used in my dripper running at low resistance. That had a high pg ratio and, for me, a high nicotine level.

What are you vaping with and what settings?

Maybe you are vaping too hot?

Or else it's a chemical thing / allergy?

First thing is I hope your tongue pain has nothing to do with your user name:p
Any way, the first time I developed true vaper's tongue it actually caused my tongue to hurt.

I had to consider that. ;-) But I wasn't going to say anything.

Today I awoke with blisters on the roof of my mouth. I tried the 70/30 that I started with at my local shop and was still getting intense painful tingles. Apparently I crossed a threshold yesterday. So I will have to try 100% VG.

I rather adore vg, and use organics when available. I order from virgin vapor A LOT. They have 2 sampler options for either their original formula or absolute virgin, which runs $11 and 13 respectively. You get to choose flavors and you get them in 5ml glass dropper bottles. They come in a standard 12mg nic for samplers. You can choose other nic strengths once you find one you like. And btw, for vg they are not as thick as typical, which is great on your gear.

I got vapers tongue in the first few weeks, then again after about 3 months , after that I guess I got used to vaping. I will occasionally get it when trying out a new flavor or lowering my resistance.

It similar to when those with slight food allergies get canker sores on the sides of the mouth, when eating pineapple , strawberries or other high acidic fruits. Its a chemical reaction to what you are doing.

When I tried to go from 1.2 ohms to .8, I started coughing and vapers tongue. I will get it when I make my favorite pineapple/ strawberry too concentrated.
