I don't DIY, but if any of you get Tribeca cloned, I'll gladly buy a liter or two from you!!! I could bathe in that stuff. My first vape, first vaping love and has yet to be duplicated....that I've been able to find commercially!!! :(

Presently I don't have Tribeca, just a pair of 30ml Halo Turkish Tob. I'll get some this week to compare (or bum a bit from a friend who vapes nothing else). At the moment, my taste and ofative memories shout "Tribeca!" but it's been a couple of weeks since my last tankful. Let you know... How many gallons did you say you want? ;-)

BTW, looking for that taste "coda" I added to my 4ml tank three drops of Noelly Pratt Vermouth that I keep for my wife's martinis (Islay Single Malt Scotch for me! <vbg>) and it really jumped. While Noelly is a very subdued Vermouth, not at all like Martini & Rossi, I think the latter might be better here. I'll get a 250ml bottle.

* * * * * Update * * * * *

I separated 10ml from my present batch and added 1 drop of Noelly Pratt for each ml (1ml or 10% total). I think that nailed it. Now it doesn't have that harsh finish but rather a slightly fruitty-floral-nutty one. Very hard to describe but I think it's now a lot more like the original. Tomorrow I shall bum a few ml and compare.

BTW, if you want to try that, you don't need to buy a bottle of any size. Go to a well stocked bar, take an empty hip flask and ask for a shot of N.P. to go —or Martini & Rossy, Cinzano or whatever other white Vermouth they use for their Dry Martinis. ;)

I find this recipe to compliment bourbon extremely well. I REALLY dig this.

I know it's not a legit Tribecca clone, but I am VERY pleased with myself with this one LOL

^^This^^ got me thinking. Added a couple drops of TFA Kentucky Bourbon the recipe and YES... DAMN CLOSE!!!

OK fellas, genuine Tribeca arrived yesterday. Compared it to my week old clone and they're damn close. Mine is just a tad mellower (less harsh?). Do not know what exactly to increase; probably a tad Acetyl Pyrazine...

BTW, the comparo was made with identical Kayfun clones in drip mode —identical 1.5Ω coils too, built at the same time– both powered by mech mods with freshly charged IMRs. Between each draw a sip of oolong tea cleaned the taste buds.

I'm not much of a taster but they're absolutely indistinguishable for me. If I put the clone in a Halo bottle it will fool me. At about the price of two 30ml bottles of the genuine article per liter or 6% (local prices for PG & VG plus international shipping for bulk flavors from FTA) the choice is quite simple... I already emptied my remaining RY4 Double to make a new 250ml batch which is steeping as I write this.

How about Jamaica Rum?

I like Tribeca, and have not tried to clone it. Maybe I'll give it a try.

What recipe?
I'm thinking

5% RY4 Double (TFA)
1% Acetyl Pyrazine
.5% Jamaica Rum (FA)
.25% Toasted Almond (TFA)

That sounds delicious, Tribeca or not - I might try that, since my Tribeca effort is nasty in a Reo (but fine in a clearo or cartotank!)

Amanda, you're Tribeca clone is simply amazing!! Taking some serious restraint on my part to have any left for the fully steeped comparison....and I have well over 100ml of Halo's Tribeca!!!

This one works for me. Thanks and it was just a thought in your mind! Have you tried it yourself

I also been enjoying this one exactly as recommended. With the Jamaica Rum and Toasted Almond.

While I'm at it here I've also been using this kind of a Prime15 clone which has also resembled Tribeca to me me a bit.

2% USA Blend Tobacco - High Desert Vapes
1.5% Peanut - Flavour Art
1% AP - TFA
.5% Vanillin - TPA

Really like this one the way it is, but to me Halo's Prime15 has a slight chocolate/cocoa undertone. So I have to try those flavors in this mix or maybe others can report back.

With all that said these two juices have been my ADV for a few weeks, replacing the old RY4D/AP recipe for Tribeca

Did a crock pot steep of the following than mic'd em for 10.000034 seconds:)

All 90/10 VG/PG premix added 6%VG nic or 1.8mls to make up the 30ml total amounts. Flavor volumes diluted total mix by PG % accordingly.

TFA RY4 Double 10%
TFA AP 2%
EM 1%
It's good. Not a 1:1 but works well. Love the smell and flavor should get bolder with age.

RY4 Double 8%
Cap Graham Cracker 5%
FA Bavarian Cream 1%
EM 1%
Real nice. Fairly mild. Graham Cracker adds abit of body

RY4 Double 10%
TFA Mild Black 1%
AP 2%
EM 1%
Very rich. The Mild Black plays nicely. Kind of reminds me of 555. This is a good one.

RY4 Double 12%
Cap Cinnamon Danish Swirl 2%
MFS 4 Star General 2%
AP2%
TFA Sweetener 4 drops
Really nice again. All the flavors can be discerned. It's abit sweeter of course but the tobacco back round added with the 4 Star really holds well.

I will let these cure for the days and weeks to come. The basic AP, RY4 Double clone is really good. Thanks to all the posters here and the ideas for variations. I will keep at this and see how these develop going forward.

Ok so I have tried EVERY "clone" recipe out there on this and other boards, and after trying all of them none seems to really be to where I cannot tell the difference, and some are just way out of the ball park in my opinion.

After trying out so many variations, and seeing what people are using here is where I am at.

Personally, I feel this needed a 3 week steep. And now I am happy as I can be with it. Tastes great in my Aspires and the Kayfuns.

I did it at 70PG 30VG, 6mg nic

Acetyl Pyrazine (TFA) 0.4%
RY4 Double (TFA) 10%
Tobacco Blend (TFA) 1%
Cotton Candy (TFA) 1%

That is it.. That is what makes me happy, and if it is close to you then I am happy to have helped a little, if it is not then maybe my taste is just poor.

To me it is the Tobacco blend that really makes this work, I got that from MyFreedomSmokes. I was hunting for Tobacco absolute and could not find it so I grabbed this instead.

The AP I used was the Acetyl Pyrazine at 5% in Propylene Glycol that you get direct from TFA, I did not do any further dillutions. I just did .4% using it from the 4ml bottle I got from them.

Have fun!

Which Tobacco are you using exactly? The only one I see on TFA that has 'blend' in it is Red Type Blend. Or are you just using the one called Tobacco Flavor?

Tribeca has been my main vape for over a year, and this will be my first DiY.

ETA: Oh I just re-read your post...I see you got it at MyFreedom Smokes. Which would you recommend from TFA?
