My truck is an everyday reminder of how gross analogs are..

I'm actually using that smell stuck in my poor little truck as one of the many milestones to measure my success away from cancer sticks. I'm around 2 months without an analog now, but I can still sort of smell it. I think it was another "trigger" that got me to light up when I got in my truck. Now it gets me to grab my ego (soon to be Provari) and I feel a little proud of myself after so many failed attempts at quitting.

The white vinegar is working for me. I use a large 'go cup' with a lot of small holes drilled in the lid (like a pepper shaker). I leave it in the rear cup holder of my double cab truck & keep the windows rolled up on a hot day. It's done wonders for removing the stench.
Sometime this spring I'm going to take it in for a full interior detail & see if that finishes off the last of the smell.

Don't forget to go to you local auto supply store and get a can of special spray deoderizer for what is in the A/C and heater system.

HMMmm- cabin air filter. It collected it all, now it is re distributing it every time the fan blows.
You made me realize that.

The other morning I came into the basement computer room after an evening of my wife and myself vaping ang computing, I guess and noticed that vaping in a small space, closed up also has it's own funk.
way to run on sentence I know.
a few minutes of open window straightened that right out.

Fortunately, our car doesn't smell bad for some reason. My Kindle e-reader, however, smells horrible and I even kept it in a sealed Zip-Lock at all times to keep it from turning brown and gross. Alcohol and baking soda (not together) hasn't come close to helping it :(. Sitting and reading is becoming an unpleasant experience. Way to go on 2 weeks!

I am tobacco free for 2 weeks now and loving it. After adjusting my nic levels a bit, my headaches and early withdraw symptoms are gone. My sense of smell is more acute now too. If nothing else, the old smell of stale ciggies in my truck reminds me how disgusting they are and why I don't want them. My sister smoked 2 cigs in her kitchen while I vaped yesterday. I thought I was going to be sick from how bad they smelled and had to go outside for air. The more repulsive you find ciggies, the less likely you are to ever pick one up again....let alone enjoy it.
So happy to have finally found my way out!!! Vape on my friends and Happy St. Patrick's Day! :toast:

And it just gets better. Unfortunately, you will continue getting in situations where you have to hug a smoker...or ride in the car with a smoker. I broke down and told my stepmother that she smelled terrible a few days ago. She is now vaping. Her vanity may save her. ;)

My Tundra doesn't have a cabin air filter to replace so I did try a spray a few years ago from a local lube place. They sprayed the whole can through the intake from the outside of the vehicle. It was so horrible and took months to subside. Going to do a full interior detail/shampoo and try to research a better spray to flush out the vents.

Sorry to hear that. Car dealerships use them all the time and they don't smell terrible. It may just have been the brand used on your vehicle. Call a local highend car dealership & they should be able to help.
Changing the air filter is a good thing but doesn't address what is stuck to the sidewalls of the venting system. And of course the interior detail and shampoo is a must.

Congrats on 2 weeks!

My latest vehicle has the cabin filter.........yay a quick change at the oil place, combined with leather seats (which I would have never picked, but the LE dictated that) and not alot of cloth has been a godsend.

I also remember that when my father left the top down on his convertable, while out fishing, that the detailers recommended odor eater shoe inserts under the seats. I would imagine the charcoal from fish/pet stores would also work and no fragrance, so it might be worth a shot. (Also be sure to use fresh air vs recirculated)

I struggled with smelling smoke for a long time on others but have noticed lately it's not bothering me so much anymore, so hopefully you'll be able to get past it.

Keep us posted, hth! ;)
