I know that people probably hate seeing these type of "What should I buy" threads but honestly I've been out of the loop for a while with whats new and just keeping to myself ordering the same juice all the time and using my old vamo.
My Vamo V2 is really beat up though and its to limiting for what I want to do. I'm starting to really get into RDA's and building my own coils but the Vamo just isn't ideal for this.
I have a Magma clone and a Kayfun lite+ clone and they both work great but I can't go below 1.3 ohms on the Vamo. So I am pretty much limited to single coil builds and I've never got to try dual coil. I use 28 gauge kanthal and I guess I could go with a smaller gauge to do dual coil but even then its surely not ideal.
Also my Vamo is all bent, the threads are wallowed out some, the screen you can hardly read anymore, the right button sticks, etc. I mean the thing is like 3 years old.
Soooooo... I'm looking to get a new mod.
I am about to jump on getting the IPV3 150w but I wonder if there is anything that might be better now? From what I read a few weeks ago the IPV3 seemed to be the popular choice for a good box mod.
I also see the Segelei 100w plus which looks nice but I'm not sure which to go with... I would imagine the IPV3 is more flexible with the 150W but the screws on the door really bother me.
One thing I am really concerned about though is not being able to charge it through a charging port. The sites I see to buy it from say that the new version has the charging port blocked off.
I do have a very nice XTAR charger but I really don't want to have to remove the screws every time to remove the batteries and charge them. Has anyone tried to mod the IPV3 case some to add magnets to keep it closed instead of screws? And how long do you usually get out of two fully charged batteries. ATM I have two Efest 35amp batteries but from my research they are not really 35amp like they say on them so I will probably get two sony batteries. What batteries would you recommend?
Also is there a specific place you would recommend buying the IPV3 from? The cheapest I found is on eBay.
Thank you very much for any input
