So i started vaping when my buddy got his ego. I tried it and liked it so I got a K100 and a vivi tank as my starter kit. 2 months later and after reading numerous posts and videos about sub ohm builds I went ahead and got myself some Sony batteries and a Nimbus. Then I realized that my atty cost more than my mod and went on and got a new mod, the SS King mod. Not long after I decided that the air hole in my Nimbus was too big for single coil build, saw a nice crown atty on instagram and went and got it. And then when Black Friday came along, VapeRev had a sale and i snatched a Satin Brass King cause it looked pretty. Right there and then I told myself "this will be my last vape gear purchase" at least for another half a year or so.
I then found out that 4 vape shops opened near my area and went to check them out. And of course, I found something I wanted, the KFL+ which was sold out at almost all online stores. The price was right so I bought it and thought to myself again "this will be the last one ..... for now". Of course, in between, I spent a lot of money on juices that will last me for months and a lot of high end drip tips i barely use.
A few weeks ago, I thought to myself, The KFL+ would look really nice on the Hammer mod, but then i also thought that the Brass Kraken would look really nice on the Satin Brass King. So a week ago I ordered them both, along with little accessories that i don't really need. This time i was serious, at least i think i was, that i shouldn't spend anymore money on vaping other than the occasional juice.

And guess what happened today, just 2 days after i got my kraken and hammer. I found another mod that i felt like i must buy! At an outrageous price too. I kept convincing myself not to but i am failing. I really need help!

Why? It's not like you're buying exotic sports cars. If you can afford it, enjoy your hobby! How much money do people you know spend on music, or movies, or video games, or collecting sports memorabilia, or coins, or art? My friend collects wine, he could buy a house with the money he's spent on it. He dropped something like 25k on a refrigerated, stable environment wine closet in his house last year, and he's not what you would call wealthy. He enjoys it with his wife, and they drink a lot of wine.

It's your money. Why is it a problem you're spending in on something you enjoy?

That is a very valid argument, that is why i placed my order lol. I was just trying to avoid "wasting" money any way possible cause i know i want it but i dont need it.

i've been waiting weeks to get the mod i've been wanting...and hopefully i'll be able to get it when they have some in stock. anytime a person throws a comment, i can throw one back at them for whatever hobby they have (smoking, shoes, bags, cars, surfing, gaming, etc)

I only have a Vision Spinner and an iTaste SVD plus a few ARO's and EVOD's as well as 2 Fogger v2's. That's it after just over 1 year of vaping. With the money I have saved from not smoking, I paid off the last of my credit card debt and now my savings and investment accounts are growing faster than ever.

You just have to decide to use what you have and not keep spending and that saving the money to spend elsewhere is more important.

How much do you think everyone here pays per month, for cable?

I know I pay more than the cost of a KayFun or a Provari.

I've been thinking of cutting THAT cord lately. I don't watch TV much, and the stuff I do watch is on Netflix or Hulu.

That is very true, I still have a land line i dont use and a cable box i rarely use.

I need to get a script blocker on my laptop that keeps me from hitting the "Support Now" button on Congrevape.

See, every day I learn something new here, I saw the Qvapes coiler tool on there, I was wondering if someone was going to make something like that. That's on my future purchase list for sure. Thanks for the link!

I went through the same process when I first started vaping. Buying, selling, trading a bunch of high end mods and attys. Some of the stuff I bought knowing I couldn't really afford but I bought it to try knowing I would sell it later and make my money back. I eventually stumbled across a combo that just worked better "for me" than anything else I had tried. After I got my original Doodlebug I sort of lost interest in trying other attys and my polished Nemesis just looked so good with it I stopped buying mods. I think the big breakthrough came when I started limiting my time on the forums and lost interest in the classified section altogether. I eventually sold off all my other stuff and have used this combo exclusively for quite a while now. I still enjoy reading about new stuff occasionally but there were so many disappointments among the stuff I bought early on that I just stick with what works for me.

If buying and trying new things is what you enjoy and you can reach a balance between budget and desire then have fun. However, finding something that really works for you and sticking with it really frees up a lot of cash for trying new juices

You have been infected by the shinyitis virus.

There is no cure, however it can be treated.

The first step to treatment is to get one of those signature thingies added to your settings to show how long you stopped smokeing and especially how much MONEY you have saved.

Then when you look at you sig, check how much money you have saved, and make a guesstimate of how much your hardware costed you and compare the two;

If your hardware costs less than half your saving, you're doing well.
If more than your savings SEEK COUNSELLING IMMEDIATELY

That's a success story; that's an example to follow; there's enough money saved to get enough things AND turn finances in the positive direction.

If you seriously have a problem: stay off this board, don't go to local shops, and only reorder juice from vendors that only sell juice. Basically, remove yourself from the showrooms full of temptations.

I stayed away for a good half a month, then i was looking through posts and it led me to calivapers and one thread lead to another, it just kinda happened.
