It happens to all of us eventually, or so I've been told. Mine began Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. I was given many words of advice, and I thought I'd share what has helped so far. Mind you it is still coming and going. But I'm finding relief through these simple things.
First off Vaper's tongue is more about the part of your nasal passages that connects with the throat, where your sense of smell assists your sense of taste. That's the spot you're trying to wake up. I guess we could call it The V Spot.
1. Sniff coffee beans. I now have a small tupperware container of them on my desk to refresh The V Spot.
2. Get thee some cinnamon juice! I'm not a cinnamon fan, but it just so happens my shop makes an amazing flavor called Vixen that is heavenly.
3. A box of TGI Fridays cream cheese stuffed Jalepenos (Or your make my nose run spicey food of choice).
The coffee beans helped, but only briefly. There was a lot of sniffing. I'll add I only had certain flavors that had no taste. I'd sniff, taste, then after a couple puffs it was gone again. Going forward I'll make sure to take a whiff of these regularly.
Cinnamon juice! I puffed on Vixen half the day, I can now taste my sweet georgia peach again!! I haven't tried the other flavor, waiting on my testing clearos to get here.
I just thought I'd share for anyone about ready to brush the skin off their tongue. Before this I had tried mouthwash, tongue brushing, Biotine mouthwash too and all it did was make my tongue angry. Finding out it was mostly a smell issue really helped me find what helped. As always hydration is important, as is flavor switching but this hit me even while doing both of those things.
