Ok so far I own a kr808d-1 in both manual and auto, and a Ego system with 650 mah passthrough and 1000 mah battery both manual.

kr808d-1 (example vapor4life)
I'll start with the kr808d-1 model. as for my beginning and initial experience with the kr808d-1 manual and auto batteries worked excellent, most will tell you not to use the auto batteries due to leakage into the battery, but that is if you drip or refill imo, my auto battery is still working very well. only downside is the batteries die VERY FAST

When i first received my kr808d-1 i got prefilled cartos, which were very simple to use, you just plug the carto onto a charged battery and your ready to go :vapor: not too much after my initial purchase i ordered blank cartomizers along with some good juices. my experience with those was not too bad but it was not really my bag, i kept burning the filling, but after some time got a good system down and got to be a pro at it. Soon after all this i got kinna curious so i ripped out the burnt filling on a good carto, dry burned it a bit and started dripping and got me thinking

final thoughts about the kr808d-1 is its very simple to use, refilling cartos can be a pain but its doable, downside is battery life.

ego (example inferno)
The batteries on this thing, both 650 passthrough and 1000 big battery. very pleased with battery life. the passthrough is very handy for playing on the computer or driving a vaping.

I started out with the tankomizer and tank system, which initially was ok, still is halfway decent, i did not have negative affects like leaking but i did become aware of the drawback of vapor and taste after i tried different options. refilling is simple, and this is by far the most laid back caping system ive used.

Next i went to a 510 LR atty w/ a drip tip, and all i have to say is wow! vapor production is amazing, the taste is amazing, only thing is i had to drip pretty often, but got used to it because it was so amazing!

just out of curiosity i bought a pack of clearomizers, and as for vapor and taste it was pretty darn good. I have not experienced any leaking or cracking of the plastic like many people complain about, a definite downside is the refilling, it can be very messy and having to use a syringe is a pain in the .... =(

Bottom line on my ego experience is the batteries are just amazing. The tank system definitely is easy to use, but the vapor production and the flavor are lacking quite a bit. A good idea, but imma stay away until the technology is perfected. The 510 LR atty has my vote i absolutely love this thing great vapor and flavor! the clearomizer is pretty cool as well but i think ill wait until the technology on them is perfected as well.

Sorry to ramble on guys, just wanted to share my vaping experience! almost a month no cigs!!:laugh::vapor::vapor:

It sounds like you did your research because you bought some good products! I agree - the eGo paired with a LR atty is a great combo and one I often recommend for those making the switch. If you like the LR 510s you should try a LR 306 (by Cisco or IKV). I think they're even better!

Congrats on making the switch! Stick with it!

Thank you! I will look into those and the boges on pay-day, im still pretty far in the negative as opposed to how much i spent smoking lol having too much fun with too many different options to try! =D

how are they compared to the cartos for the 808d-1?

I haven't used an 808 but I don't see much complaining about the filler taste with the boges and they're super easy to fill. I can't remember if it's hairball or dormouse that swear by them and I lke them as well. However if you don't mind dripping I say go for it. I had a tendancy to drip too soon and had problems with wasting juice from leaks :(.

Hey,

You should try the dual coil cartomizer, they can hold plenty of juice and the taste is similar to clearomizer in my opinion. No more messy filling as you don't need a syringe.

I've tried tank systems, direct dripping and clearomizers and i must say the dual coils are my favorite

I've heard good things about the duals but I am still vaping my 510 xl soooo.... :(

I'm glad you ended up liking the ego. If you want to explore some more try the 510 Boge cartomizers. Easier to fill than the clearos and I think the flavor is pretty decent

Can they handle thick VG juices?

On the Bloog and apparently there recommendation is using a 70/30 mix as they having wicking issues. My only work around is to bottom fill doing the condom method
