New to ECF and here is my first post thought I would share my vaping journey. Sorry for the length.
I had a couple friends who had e-cigs but I always found them smoking and bumming smokes from me. To me at the time as a smoker that was highly irritable. So for over a year after getting introduced to them I just completely denied it as just a fad that would go away in due time. I then met someone who wasn't a friend and we had this discussion about e-cigs she told me how she had gone 3 months without an analog in that time. With all the cigarette taxes smoking was becoming really expensive. So I said what the hell I'll buy one just to save some money. Went to go to my local B&M but being in there was an absolute disaster. I went during the chinese new year so the store was out of a lot of items and everyone inside was going crazy about the news. I couldn't take it so I left I picked up an NJOY at a 7-11 and went home. I thought the NJOY was actually great really close to analogs but I could kill one in a couple hours if I was chain vaping. I then decided to go back to the B&M and luckily it was way less crowded than when I first went. Picked up an EGO-C some cheap vision stardust style clearos and 5 juices (Berry Blend, Real Cig, American Spirit Like, Waffle, and Coffee). Also picked up a pack of cigarettes on my way home as insurance, which would end up being my last pack.
I started with some tobacco flavored juices because I figured thats what I'd want. I was baffled that after 3 days how much I didn't like the flavor anymore. I was smoking the Berry Blend the most which surprised me because I didn't think I'd be into fruity flavors. I vaped exclusively for the middle of the week and when the weekend came I brought both my pack and my e cig. I gave out most of my last pack and that was the last analog I've had 85 days ago today.
I was baffled that e cigs worked for me and even more baffled that it worked so quickly. I started doing research after I realized this was going to stick and needed an upgrade. Below is my progression of vaping.
APV: EGO C > VAMO > K100
Atty/Clearos/Etc: Vision Stardust > Vivi Novas > T3s > iClears > Cartos/Carto Tanks > IGO L > RSST
Upgrading from the EGO C to just the Novas/T3s was a great one. The original clearos I had are absolutely miserable in comparison to what I'm pushing out now. Right now my favorites are an iClear16 on my EGO, Carto Tanks on my VAMO, and an IGO L or RSST with my K100. After getting the right vapor production I wanted the last obstacle was finding an ADV.
I have tried almost every popular juice out there but I think I've finally honed in on The Vapor Chef's Honey Pearry as my favorite and AVE's Hype as my second.
So to all new vapors I would suggest this for you: Pick up an EGO Style Battery with an iClear16, Vivi Nova (I'd go Mini), and a Kanger T3. Each one provides a different vape so you can figure out which type of draw you like. Also since the heads are so easy to replace its a better/cheaper investment than the stardust clearos they usually try to sell you. Grab a different variety of juices even if you don't think they'd be your type initially. Lastly I would recommend buying a pack. I always got anxiety if I didn't have a pack on me. This helped alleviate it and it really was a sense of pride to see how many cigarettes I didn't smoke.
Thanks for reading this if you did and vape strong.
