Unfortunately... my Janty Neo Classic was confiscated by Canada Customs :(

I just received a letter today stating that it contained a 16mg e-liquid in the shipment. I was VERY specific in my order to NOT include any nic products because of Canadian regulations.

I am going to call customs on monday to see if they could remove the nic product and just send me the device, but somehow I don't think that's going to work.

I need some advice guys, I wouldn't be upset if customs confiscated the product as I had ordered it, but the very reason it was confiscated was the 16mg e-liquid that I was very clear to note in my order not to include. I did open a ticket with jantyworld.com to see if they can compensate me somehow since my directions weren't followed. I hope they can do something for me.

What do you guys think? What are my chances that customs with just send me the device after removing the nic? Also, what are my chances that jantyworld.com will do something to compensate me?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!!

I would suggest purchasing from some of our great canadian suppliers. There is no reason to go out of country for items that are available in Canada for similar prices. Just shop around, we canadians don't have it as hard as we think.

Sorry to hear about your PV, hopefully it gets resolved soon, hopping on the ecig bandwagon was the best thing I ever did for myself.

there seems to only be one supplier of Janty Neo Classic as far as the Canadian list of suppliers I got that are trustworthy... and they are sold out :(

I wanted this particular one to be my first ecig because it seems so easy to refill... I've watched tons of reviews for tons of ecigs and I'm being brutally honest here... I'm lazy, and if it's annoying to refill, it might not get refilled... I need this analog-to-ecig transition to be as smooth as possible... not happening so far.

that being said, I was also looking into the Joyetech eGo-C... there seems to be tons of suppliers for those in Canada... why is it that Joyetech is everywhere but not Janty?

I was in the same boat. Told them to keep the juice and they did release the Neo's to me yesterday.

really?!! you've given me some hope... i do have a couple of questions:

1. are they shipping it to you or do you need to pick it up yourself?
2. did you have to pay taxes and/or any other fees?
3. which number did you call? the letter i got has the address of Ontario Operational Centre with the inspector's name and number.

It got caught up in Hamilton. I had DHL bring it to Ottawa for self clearance. Went to Customs. They said they had to get DHL to bring them the package for inspection. A couple of days pass and then customs call to say its all going back cuz of the nic juice. I explained that tough the juice may be banned, the equipment is not. I asked if they could just remove the juice and release the rest and they agreed.

hmm... I guess I'll call the inspector on monday... I just hope I don't have to go there myself, I'm going overseas on thursday for 3 weeks. if this doesn't get resolved by then and/or they won't let my friend from hamilton pick it up, I might just be screwed either way :(

thanks for the info k-man!!
My pleasure

Hey IksKang sorry to tell you the Neo classic is just a wast of your $$$ no taste no kick at all get a ego-c now that is just a great vape, now my neo is just collecting dust.....

not gonna lie, the look of the neo really got me... i did order a joyetech ego-t kit with overnight delivery and paid $45 for it (delivery). i was thinking of the ego-c but wanted to save a few bucks and from my understanding, i can just buy the ego-c atomizers and tanks and use it with my ego-t batteries later, right?

i also don't like the cone shape, so when i do get the ego-c attys and tanks i'll get the type-b which i couldn't really find in too many places in canada yet.

read here/there that they have leakage issues, you have any tips?

Hey lkskang, sad to hear of your dilemma. It is my understanding that any ego attachment you decide on should fit on any ego battery. Keep in mind though, if the battery is under the 1000mah rating you may not want to use any LR low resistance attachments. Too much drain on the batteries will shorten their life.

I think vaporgeek carry the type b attys and tank carts and silicone bottom caps if that is the route you decide to go.
Using the silicone bottom caps seems to have cured the leaking for some posters.
My type b tanks and attys are collecting dust since I got my Stardusts. The tanks can be a little fiddly, and the wick in the atomiser can get pushed down a little causing a burnt taste after a few tank changes, while I find the Stardusts to be just fill and go. They have the ego connection also. At 5-6 bucks a pop you could get 4 units for the price of a couple of b type atomisers.

There are many positive reviews for the Stardusts. And lots of negative reviews on the ego tanks, A,B,or C, from what I can find.

There are as many differing opinions as there are products to try. Do searches on each item you're thinking of getting here
before buying, to find what might best suit your needs.

Buy Canadian. Problem solved. :D

Seriously, I don't think there's much you can do about it though. I'm completely not a fan of Janty these days so somehow I'm not too surprised to hear they didn't pay attention to instructions, but when Health Canada gets their claws on E-cig stuff it's extremely unlikely you'll see it.

I'd have to say that the eGo-C is probably a good choice. I was pleasantly surprised by it myself, though as I say in my review it does still need thin juices, just like all Joye-type tank systems. With that in mind though it does work quite well and is what I'd recommend for someone who's new and wants a tank style setup.

hey hitmetwice... funny enough, that's where i ordered from. i emailed them and asked about overnight shipping. after a few emails back and forth (within a few minutes) they gave me the price for the overnight and i paid and i had a tracking number at 4am in toronto!! that's good service!!

i was actually VERY interested in the stardust because of the price vs ease of use. i was just wondering if the whole thing needs to be replaced every time or if the atty can be taken out of the tank and replace by itself (not that they are pricey or anything, just a little environmentally conscience).
