I was told I should introduce myself to the forum. I guess this is my silly way of doing that.

About five days ago my best friend introduced my to vaping. I was like St. Paul on the road to Damascus.

My friend hooks me up with all of the info, a link to this forum, and suggestions for several vendors. Last Thursday I order a ton of stuff.

By Saturday I had all of my e-juice from the other side of the country. (Well done Mt. Baker Vapor!)

Monday afternoon I get my cases and clearos from Indiana.

But what about the actual batteries, (Is this what is meant by mods? I don't want sound like my parents discovering the internet. "G-mail?? No, no. I want E-mail") the essential equipment I need to enter the Promised Land of Vaping?

Turns out the place I ordered those from is in Brooklyn, maybe an hour subway ride away from where I live. In my excitement I did not check this and shelled out the shekles for 2 day FedEx. So first my eGo 's went to Memphis TN, then Newark NJ, then the Bronx (even closer to my house). There they sat all day Sunday.

"Aha!" thought I, "I will have my eGo's by Monday night at the latest! Huzzah! Vaping here I come!"

Those #@%&#s at FedEx said the expected delivery time would be 7pm Tuesday and they are sticking to that promise while my eGo's languish away in a cold loveless warehouse.

May someone take the lesson from my sad, sad tale and remember to check a vendor's location before entrusting their happiness (OK, their greed for a new toy) to the illogical and uncaring hands of FedEx. the Illogical and uncaring hands of the USPS would have been much faster.

No offense meant to the hardworking people actually delivering mail/packages, bigbells. Please believe it was my eagerness for my new toy speaking, not any true disdain for either FedEx or the USPS.

Thank you, Intelligent Designer. One does one's best.

Yeah, yeah Stoneface. I didn't want to let the side down.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome.

Hello Granny and welcome to ECF and to Vaping :D

I too feel your pain. When I ordered my Vamo, I ordered batteries from a different company. I didn't realize that the company I ordered the batteries from was only a 2 hour drive from my house. I ordered the batteries on a Friday, and got them on Tuesday. If I had known that the company was so close, I would have driven there to pickup my order, and save a few bucks and my sanity lol.

Hope your stuff gets to you soon.:D

How much was gasoline at the time? 30 cents per gallon? (29.9 cents per gallon when I started driving in 1968.)

just like smoking, we have to fight the instant gratification syndrome, we suffer from in this country. point is you put yourself down a healthier path, and that is what matters. fed ex will be along sooner than you think. good luck.

Lol! Welcome granny!! If it makes you feel any better, my February lab order (that I ordered on February 4th) just got to me last week. They apparently decided my lab order should go to a waste water plant in Mississippi!

Oh, shipping woes. Here's a pillow I used to cry into. ;) hope your order comes really soon!!!

Waiting on vapemail was the reason I called and complained to my USPS office for the first time in my entire life. They were sitting on a Kgo VV (this was back in September?) which should have been delivered the previous day. I called, whined, and within ten minutes a new mail car appeared and the package was in my mailbox.

Not sure if this is the norm, but it worked for me. I don't typically complain to anyone. I'm just glad I made the phone call.
