Well today was my annual physical.....needless to say it was interesting! First thing I did when he walked in was whip out my 901.He had never seen a "personal vaporizer" before and I think was somewhat facinated. I showed him the basics...Battery,atomizer,cart...and explained how it works..including the juice! After a little Q&A,and my explaining on how to cut nic levels to eventually lead to zero nic usage,he asked me why I would contine to use it without the nicotine...My reply: "Because it is relaxing and I enjoy it". I also told him that these have not been proven safe or unsafe..but I Feel a world of better since quitting analogs..and would never resort to them again!...I did refer him to the forum in order to better understand the product and US( so if he's reading this...HI DOC!).The last thing he did say to me was continued success on quiting smoking...and that's all I needed to hear:)The Wiz!

I was at my Doc yesterday and while waiting in the exam room, was vaping. She came in all set to yell until she realized she didn't smell smoke. She's allergic.
I showed her the device too and while she's not thrilled with the nic in it, she was Ok with it overall but wants me nic free ASAP. This from the Doc that prescribed me Chantix

She actually said that she would tell her other "PIA" paitents about it that want to have a different alternative :D

Wiz--great story--You never know, he might be ordering one up right now!! I an glad to hear that he his take on the device was one with an open mind. Interesting that he did not understand at first why you would want to continue to use the device when you do get down to zero nicotine. Many people do not understand that vaping is a very relaxing "time out" experience and this exerience is "addicting"!!!---Sun

Sun........I did ask him what he thought of prolonged nicotine use minus the harmful ingredients in cigaretts and possibly our e-liquids.He really didn't have an answer for that..other than the fact that it is the ingredient that draws us to smoking or vaping.I have to wonder if that is as much truth..after finding that zero nic can be relaxing as well.I did tell him that if he ever had conclusive evidence that "vaping" was harmful to my health..that I would stop altogether.he is a GOOD GUY....My life is in OUR hands!:)The Wiz

I went to my doctor yesterday for a follow-up after what we all thought was a "heart attack" three weeks ago. That's when my husband ask me if I ever heard of the ecig (he read about it in a magazine while away for business) Of course I haven't and thats when I searched the net for more information because I KNEW I had to stop smoking. I tried the patches...no good...the gum...absolutley nasty and didn't work...and now the ecig and works wonders! To make a long story kinda short...I didn't have a heart attack, but they said I had Acid Reflux (which smoking tobacco will bring on!!!) and the pain would make one think they were in heart trouble land. Since I stopped smoking tobacco and started the ecig...MY HEALTH HAS IMPROVED 100%...I told my doctor yesterday about the ecig...he wanted to know more & I told him all that I knew to tell him in a short note...he said he didn't see anything wrong with using the ecig, just stay away from tobacco and try to lower the nic cartridges to zero...thats my next goal...I enjoyed smoking however, it wasn't agreeing with me at all...the ecigs are a comfort zone for me especially when I'm under lots of stress...seems to make it better...a long with the stress-relief exercises the doc gave me. :) So yes...I think my doc is cool with it...
