Hi everyone,

My new VK Ultimatum kit has just arrived in the mail. The first thing I have to say is how cool it is that a company has given me more than I paid for. With the kit they sent me 2 extra cartomizers and a free bottle of mint nobacco juice....too cool!!!...maybe they didn't realize that i'm a cheesehead. I will definately buy from them in the future if their product lives up to all the great reviews I have seen. (Havent tried it out yet but I will post my first impressions after I give it ago)

This is my second attempt at using ecigs to replace analogs. My last kit was a 510 kit (i think) from e smokey treats. Overall it was ok but the main problems were limited battery life and it seemed like I had to constantly refil the carts to get decent vapor production. Eventually I got fed up and returned to analogs for the past 5 months...I hope the VK will prove to be much better.

Anywho, I'm off to go try out the VK although im a little overwhelemed with all the stuff that came with the kit. I'll let everyone know how I like it!

I just hooked up my VK with the usb passthru and gave it a go.

Taste: I normally smoke menthol, so I hooked up a mint-36 cartomizer. The taste is amazing and has that nice mentholish kind of bite to it.

Throat hit: Oh there is a throat hit for sure. I have to be a little careful with it or else it will make me cough.

Vapor Production: So far it has surpassed my old vaporizer, but I have yet to see a really intense cloud of vapor, but that probably has much more to do with my technique than the device. My thing with vaporizers is that I'm a little hesitant to take a really long drag, because it used to deplete my old vape so quickly. This is gonna take some getting used to.

The true test comes tomorrow at work where I intend to work my whole 9.5 hour shift just using the VK.

Welcome Ultracorp! Have you got the auto or manual battery? I found that on the auto battery, if you just take a slow and long drag, you will be okay. The carts last pretty long, but that depends on how often you are hitting them. With the 36mg, you may want to take it easy. Try something a little lower if you are going to power vape ..

I am sure others have a lot more to add since I am relatively new to all this but I have to say that V4L and the VK are the best! I've tried 2 or 3 other systems before and they are pretty much collecting dust right now. My boyfriend was using them until he tried mine, so I had to buy him a kit too .. we are loving the VK! I just know you'll love yours too!

Hi there thanks for the reply.

I am using the auto battery although I intended to get the manual, but that is my mistake not vapor 4 life's. I think I may have overdone it a little bit with this vape since I have a little bit of a head buzz at the moment. I smoke about a pack a day of analogs give or take a few cigs, and at about $7.50 a pack here in WI, it is really a major leech on the ole pocketbook. I did the math and it adds up to over $200 a month. I'll try your suggestion and thank you for the tip!

At a pack a day, you will probably find your sweet spot at 16-24mg. I was a pack and half a day gal and I love my 24s but I will pull out my 16s for an all day vaping session. That said - once you have these lower levels I think you will find that the throat hit backs off just enough for you to take as long a drag as you want. I am in the minority here because I love my auto batteries and my auto passthrough. I can beat a cutoff with my drags, so the autos are a better fit. The exception is the manual extra long because the definitely put out more vapor than a regular, but still not as much as a passthrough. I cheat the cutoff on my XLs using the trick Mark (Dohsma) shows in his video review. Overall, my favorite piece of equipment is my auto passthrough...I just broke one because I beat it up so badly (I have a habit of chucking it in my purse and winding the wires up...). I even sleep with it...

*shakes her head and mutters "some people will sleep with anything"* :D

I didn't think you wanted them to know about us...

Seriously, I wouldn't call you just anything darlin...you're special to me!

Welcome to the forum and to V4L, UltraCorp. Yes, please do let us know how you're doing with your new gear.

PhoenixRising, you sleep with yours? Thought I was bad having mine on my nightstand just in case I wake up in the middle of the night needing my vape. Now I don't feel so obsessed after all.

Whatever keeps you feeling good at night I always say.:D

Well first of all I have to admit that when I woke up I smoked an analog...but cut me a little slack, old habits are hard to break. I planned on only using the VK for nic today but I had to change my strategy somewhat. The thing is, I work as a security guard...normally, I drive around in a car all day so vaping away would not normally be a problem, but today I had to work inside a grocery store. I didn't think that it would be "professional" to vape in front of all the customers so I stuck a patch on my arm instead but I did bring the VK with me. I managed to sneak into the bathroom a couple times to use it and after all the customers left I was able to vape as much as I pleased. The battery lasted all day and the VK produced good vapor consistently over 11 hours. So far I am very satisfied and I should have no need whatsoever to smoke another analog today.

In short, VK rules!!

Congrats on your purchase and you success Ultracorp. I can't remember the last time I was more pleased with something I bought. I think I am happier with my VK and V4L every day. Like JenJen said, don't sweat the cig. For me, having one cig (two puffs actually) after a couple of weeks of vaping was what assured me that my life long love affair with analogs was really over. I wish you well.

One normal sized battery lasts right around 3 hours if you are puffing away at it. I timed it the other night while I was drinking. :) By the time you finish one battery the other will be full charged and ready for another round.

Well, today is a rare day off for me, and so far I haven't smoked a single analog and don't feel any real need to do so. I have been happily puffing away using the passthru. My skin is already starting to look/feel "better". Don't notice any real difference in the ole lungs yet, but I have been battling a nasty cold for almost a week now and I'm still congested from it.

I'm about to order one of those x-tra long batteries and some more cartomizers.....I can see how easy it would be to spend ovr $500 on this stuff lol..
