I'm a pretty simple person and prefer mechanical mods for their straightford simplicity and rugged durability. My only VW/VV device is seldom used. That being said there are 2 devices I would very much like to see come out. I would buy both for sure.

1) A tubuler stainless steel 18650 mechanical mod by Provari: I appreciate their great reputation, and as a patriot I also like that they are made in the USA. If they put out the kind of mech mod I am talking about and priced it at $100 or less I would make every attempt to be their first buyer.

choice #2 would be the exact same type of mech mod from Innokin. Preferably not the size and shape of a katana since they seem obsessed with emulating weapons nowadays ;)

Since Provari and Innokin are both respected companies that put out great products and there are people like me out there that just prefer mechanicals I really think these would be very well received. Probably would be very easy for these companies to do as well.

The main strength of the 2 companies you name is their electronics. That is their main selling point. The Provari adds durability and that it is US made and is easily serviced.

I don't see what either company could do to a mech mod that isn't already available. They are just a tube and a switch. How would a Provari mech mod be better than any other mech?

I don't see either company granting you your wish. There is nothing in it for them.

You are probably right. However, a product like this would be very simple for them to put out and their reputations in the industry would probably inspire mech buyers to buy a mech from them for their name alone. Although the design really wouldn't be much different from the current crop of mech mods (clone or original) out there already you would rest assured that the steel quality, threading, durability, customer service, etc, etc would be first rate.

I realize you are right of course, circuitry is their strong point and will continue to be so. I can still dream though ;)

Honestly I wouldn't trust a mech by Provape to be any more rugged or of any higher quality than what's already out there. It's two entirely different markets, really; with entirely different "top brands". Biggest difference is, in the mech world, there are way more than one company known for putting out products of very high quality.

Ruggedness is the nature of the beast with mech mods. Exceptions exist, of course. Not that I own one, but if you insist on a high quality Made in USA mod, you could always get a SuperT titanium mod or such. Given enough strength, stamina and precision, that may well be the only thing you could possibly destroy a SS mod with... ignoring heavy machinery.
