Me: My name is Lisa and I’m a supplier associate for REOsmods. I am a small, impatient gal who really dislikes fiddling around with things and using vaping devices that are too big for me. I have been vaping for 19 months, 13 months smoke free.
Thoughts on the Woodvil 18490: Let me start by saying that I never expected to own any wood mods…ever. My biggest complaint about wood mods is their size. Not just the REO Wood & Woodvil, but the other wood mods out there. I’ve used them all and always felt uncomfortable with the size, afraid I’d drop them, easily knocked out of my hand. When Rob made the first mini Woodvil, I was excited to find that I loved it and felt super comfortable holding, carrying & using it. Finally, after a year’s worth of secretly coveting MXBNW’s wood mod collection, I had one of my own! When there were discussions about the 18490 I was reserved in my excitement, fearful that it would exceed my grasp, so-to-speak.
Ah….so it fits within my grasp, and easily so. My fingers can reach almost all the way around so I don’t feel like it could get knocked out of my hand. The curved backside is a nice feature that was unexpected. I was afraid it might make this a directional mod for me, but am pleasantly surprised that I can still use it right or left handed, forwards or backwards with no discomfort at all. Yes…I’m an ambidextrous vaper.
The feed system is the same fantastic system used on all his mods. Same ease of use, reliability, and no leaks! The inside is clean and organized. No wandering wires, random glue globs, and no stain marks. The wires are quietly tucked away so I hardly even notice they are there. The woodwork is outstanding as usual….smooth, even, and finely fit.
Well….I am a diehard mini gal, just like mlinky. So how is this better than the mini Woodvil? The biggest benefit here is the battery life. Using the 18490 size battery is amazing….I don’t have to swap the battery for two days (YMMV.) And the power does “seem” to be a bit stronger….and I like that.
edit*...to be clear I need to add that since I started vaping this full time, with no other devices ...I've gotten through a full bottle of juice and then some on a full charge. Again, YMMV.
All in all, this is a winner. This is a great pocket friendly, still stealthy (for those with bigger hands), comfortable to hold (for those of us with little hands), and is the solution for those who get frustrated with changing their 14500 once or twice a day. Nicely done, Rob. This is the absolutely, hands down, best mod I own. But don’t take my word for it. I’m biased!
