Hey everyone, I've spent the last few weeks lurking around the forum, and finally decided to join up and become a part of this community. I JUST today received my Joye 510 starter kit in the mail, and am currently charging the battery. You all have been such an inspiration and informative in my choice to try the switch to vaping.:D I've been a smoker for around 8 years, as well as working in a smoke filled environment on the regular, I'm really looking forward to seeing how this changed things for me! I previously had tried the mall style e-cig and was THOROUGHLY disappointed, but so far, the few vapes I've taken have been surprisingly satisfying. After my current pack of smokes are gone, it's all vaping from there on.

One question I have, which I'm sure has been covered continually, but here goes anyways. If I'm looking to have a cart last me throughout an 8 or 10 hours shift at work, would I be wise to order a few refillable cartomizers so as to not have to refill on a regular basis? I'd really rather not have to sit in the break room pulling off some kind of surgery to continually refill the regular cartridges...any help would be awesome!

Super excited to have joined ECF and can't wait to start vaping and kick these analogs to the curb!:2cool:

I have an mega ego (mega ego battery, mega ego atty, and mega cart) and one of those will last me all day and sometimes into the next day. This includes the battery lasting this long. Cost about $50 for the whole thing and is very easy to prep in the morning and have something to vape all day without thinking about it.

The ego tank system is also good if you don't mind carrying around a couple tank carts with you (this way you can change flavors mid day if you'd like).

I use cartomizers and what I normally do is fill up 4-5 carts with various flavors I like and take them with me in my carrying case. I have two standard size manual KR808-D1 batteries and that will usually last me all day at work. THen I have my Pass thru when I get home if I am charging the batteries. I will usually fill my cartomizers at night before I go to bed so they're ready to go the next day.

Thanks guys for the super quick responses. Do you know if the e-go cartomizers will fit on the regular 510 batteries? or would it be beneficial to order the e-go? I work as a dealer, clearly, so I get a 15 minute break usually every hour to hour and twenty minutes, so I want something that will allow me to vape during my breaks.

eGo cartos won't fit the 510 battery because the threading is built for the bigger battery - it has a built in cone shape. I like the standard 510 cartomizers better, personally.

The real reason to upgrade to an eGo battery is for the increased battery life (6-10 hours depending on usage) so less having to switch out dead batteries. If you are happy with the 510 battery life, I'd say just get the 510 cartomizers and you'll be happy.

Congrats on getting started and I know you will do well. A very popular cartomizer is the
Boge soft tip. It is VERY easy to fill with simply popping off the white cap, take your
juice bottle and drip into the filling. No needles or syringes needed.
So for work, you could just top off the carto you are using with a few drops of juice
as needed (about 30 seconds) or you could fill a couple and take them to work.
Just don't get the LR's, use 2.0 and upwards for your unit.
Hope you do well and Vape on!

You can always bring a few filled cartos with you - they usually have soft covers on the end to prevent drips. I have some in my pocket. Then add more juice to them when you get home - they don't last forever but I got a week out of 1, some get more. Do you have a PCC to charge one battery at work while you use the other? A 510 battery don't last all day - more like 1.5-3 hours depending on how much you vape.

For 510 - the LiteCigUSA.net Boge 510 soft-cap cartomizers are nice. (standard, not LR for a standard 510)

I have 2 510 batts I bought from vaporpro, they came fully charged which was nice, I think that 2 batts would work fine to get me through a shift at work, I can bring the charger with me if necessary as well. Are there any 510 batts available at a higher MaH? It's my understanding that is what gives you more battery life.

There are "xl" sometimes called "mega" 510 batts, which have another 100 mah (aka another hour) or there are also eGo batts which are 650 mah (about 6 1/2 hours) or you get eGo batts that are 1000mah (about 10 hours, or more...)

to eliminate confusion (or add to it, not sure) the eGo brand is just a 510 ecig with bigger batteries; the connections are the same so the eGo atomizers and carts and cartomizers are interchangeable with the 510 atomizers, carts and cartos -- with few exceptions (so ask first, unless you are sure).
