N00b with questions!

Greetings!

I'm new to vaping, and am in love with it... when I'm not hating it, that is.

I have a Hydro I purchased through Crown 7. It's my first ecig. Can't say I am in love with the particular unit. The shape is great, but the consistancy of the vapor is not. I find myself swapping batteries and carts often and get excited when the thing works well for any amount of time. Maybe it is the unit, maybe it is me. Remember I *am* a n00b.

I'm going to be ordering some spare parts for this unit, but am also thinking of purchasing a pen style from puresmoker.com, both because of price and from opinions I have read. Honestly I need a little more kick, and alot more life for me to be able to use these without NEEDING an analog.

Would one of these pen units, along with the USB passthrough, help? I'm thinking with the passthrough I can avoid all the problems of the unit not seeming to work so well after little use.

Another question I had, was that I know alot of ecigs that have a similar form factor to mine have parts that are compatible with each other (atomizer, cartridges, etc.) Is there anything that is compatible with mine or only items from Crown 7?

Finally I'm going to get into dripping, and am going to order some juices this weekend too (since if I used strictly Crown 7 carts I think it would come out to alot more than analogs haha)

On a side note: I don't know what I was thinking when I got the starter kit with regular flavor, and then getting cherry zeros... I'm using the cherries at night so I don't OD, the regulars during the day to get my nicotine fix, and am DYING for a MENTHOL analog (since thats what I smoked.) DUH.

If you are looking to switch and get into dripping then the Puresmoker 901 is the model you want IMO. The penstyle is difficult to drip with due to the depth of the bridge--much easier with the 901 and you get a great hit. I think here would agree if you are going to drip vape--Hope that helps--Sun

Another perspective, though, is that with a penstyle you may not need to drip directly on the atomizer and still be quite happy with your vapor production and hit. By keeping the (much bigger) cartridges really moist and topped off with liquid some of us feel we get good vapor for longer with penstyles than with the 901.

It very much a matter of individual preference however!

That's actually more along the lines of what I was trying to describe that I think I want to do LOL Even if I could top off the hydro and feel like I get some decent use out of it I would be happy.

I'm afraid that if I go with the 901 I will still end up feeling like it is letting me down prematurely (which is the feeling I get with the Hydro) just because of the small form factor. With a pen style, since it has a bigger battery, and a bigger cartridge, I have a better chance of not being disappointed.... right?

Yvilla--you must be referring to topping of as opposed to drip smoking--I exclusively use a RN4072 penstyle and they are no good to drip with in my opinion as they flood and the liquid also runs to easily into the battery. Also there lies a problem with topping off if you pool the e-liquid, then the atomizer floods as well. This individual stated that they would like to get into drip smoking and the Penstyle simply is not a good choice for dripping. The 901 which I have is a much better unit for that. If you want to stay with cartridges that are not topped off to much--then the penstyle would be in fact the prefered--I hope that explains what I was saying--thanks --Sun:)

If you are looking for the best cartridge life and battery life, then the Penstyle is your player. The passthough works like a charm. Just be careful about flooding the atomizer as it is real easy to do and frustrating if you use to much e-liquid. The passthough also abates the dreaded battery cleaning cycle that burns out the atomizers--Hope that helps--Sun:)

Cool, so it seems like I was on the right train of thought, even if I did have a dyslexic moment and throw out the wrong terminology.
