ya he was probably using carts and a cheap ecig, do some homework here on this forum and read read read and ask ask ask and take your time and you will find an excellent product for him. I would suggest an Ego 1000mAh with some good Cartos like the Booge 2ohm carto to start him out with ( just a suggestion to start him out with again ) this will give him a Battery that will last him longer than the smaller cheap ones and a Cartomizer that will hold liquid properly when filled and not leak out of either end and or get liquid in his mouth. Click on the forum button on the top left of the page and page down to all the ECF approved vendors as well and go to there websites and familiarize yourself with a few of them. Then read up as much as you can on products

Which e-cig is he using? There could be many reasons why the liquid is leaking into his mouth; overfilled carts, overvaping, drawing too hard on the cart...

It will help us to have more information.

Sent from a super smart phone with a really dumb user. Strike that! Reverse it!

Love your phone signature. :)

For only $20 it must have been a disposable and I think they use filler material in their cartomizers. So now I'm confused.

No. It wasn't disposable. It was an e-cigarette with one cartridge. And you could buy refills for it. From what I remember, it came in a black "cigarette pack" with red writing on it.

What's a cartomizer?

A cartomizer combines the automizer(heating element) and cart in one piece. The cartomizer is also bigger and holds more liquid so you don't have to refill or top off as often. If you use this you have two pieces the battery and the cartomizer.

A cart is separate from the atomizer so if you use this method you have three pieces and the cart usually slides on to the atomizer which screws on to the battery.

Ours was a two piece set.

Then it was a cartomizer and that is weird that it would spit like that. Did he add any juice to the carto, maybe overfilled it? He could try blowing in the mouthpiece end with a paper towel at the threaded end and see if juice comes out. If juice comes out than it was over filled and that would cause spitting.

No. We just screwed the two pieces together and pushed the button. But since we threw it away, it doesn't really matter. I was basically wondering if that was a common occurrence with e-cigarettes or if it was just a fluke. I plan on getting a different one in August but not if the nasty liquid thing was common.

The more I learn, the more confused I get. My only experience is with that one horrible e-cigarette months ago. I thought that's what they all were, just a simple little cigarette look-alike. I had no idea there were different kinds and that you could get different tips and accessories and that there were so many flavors. Ya'll have opened up a whole new world to me!

I'm with you. I started with the ecigs 6 weeks and 2 days ago and I haven't touched an analog since. I decided to try to make my vaping experience a bit better and save a bit of money by doing my research. This makes my 3rd day researching and my head just won't stop hurting. I've never been more confused in my life! The good news is it's starting to make sense and I think I'm starting to understand. Just stick with it and you're going to be able to give your husband something that'll actually keep him away from analogs. Keep at it and good luck!

We all went through what you are going through to some degree. I did a ton of research but not until after I bought a cheapy. I knew there had to be something better out there so I googled and found ECF and tons of reviews about e cigs and flavors etc. Just keep doing what you're doing. Reading and asking questions.

I started out researching for my Grandma. All she wanted to know was where she could buy cheaper cartridges for her Njoy. But then I thought this would be great for me when I move because I refuse to pay the high SD prices for cigarettes. After researching a couple hours on the web, I was more confused than ever because apparently they let anyone with a computer write about stuff they don't understand. Unbelievable huh?

I'm so glad I found this place. I prefer forums anyways because I can get multiple views on the same subject. And although I'm even more confused now than before, I think I'll have things figured out when the time comes to choose an e-cigarette and start using it (that gives me 2 months to learn. lol)

Cartomizers will spit juice under certain circumstances depending on the cartomizer.

Many cartomizers are designed with a central tough wick that is a tube surrounded by filler in which the juice is absorbed. The atomizer, a small coil of wire that gets hot, is inside the wick tube.

If you draw too long the atomizer may burn a hole in the central wicking material. When this happens, if there is still liquid in the filler, that liquid will be drawn through the hole and into your mouth.

There are some other cartomizer designs out there that will also allow for getting juice in your mouth. Sometimes this is frankly a flaw in the design, and sometimes it results from damage due to excessive heat or from misuse (i.e. sucking on it like a Hoover). Hopefully this helps!

Well, I asked my hubby what kind of e-cig it was and as it turns out, we didn't throw it away! It's a Gamucci Continental Disposable e-cigarette. Here's what it looks like
