Morning All !

I need your help please.

Received my eGo yesterday. Since I am new I can't compare it to other models but it works great!

Since I was a menthol smoker only, I ordered 3 different menthol juices, all 24 mg, 50/50. Also ordered 2 reg flavor juices, same strengths, going by suggestions on this forum to give them a try even though I would never smoke reg tobacco. All juices were named after analog brands.

Tried the menthols first. They were beyond nasty! A strong perfume taste and smell with a hint of chemical. This is best I can describe it. I tried the other 2 with the same results. Could not seem to get rid of that 'smell' and taste in my atomizer so switched to my spare.

Then tried the 2 reg flavors and one of the pre-filled carts that came with my unit. Really strong tobacco taste. Not as intolerable as the menthol but pretty close.

Ended with with a killer headache (not headache prone) and a nauseous feeling.

Until I can find a solution, I am back to analogs.

Contacted my supplier last night....he emailed me back after I went to bed. I am confident with his expertise and support we can come up with a solution.

Since there is so much experience on these forums, I know there has to be others that have run into this type of snag.

Please share your thoughts.

PS sorry this post was long, I tried to keep it simple and to the point.

My experience has been: Everything I thought I would like, I don't. Everything I thought was weird, or couldn't possibly taste good, I like.

I have got 3 menthol smokers to switch. I gave them menthol juice. None of them use anything with menthol in it now. I hated menthol cigs & I'm vaping a menthol juice now. (Menthol & wintergreen)

So, you may want to sample outside your comfort zone a bit.

With my opinion and $2, you can buy a coke.

I can't make a suggestion abut the tobacco or menthol flavors because even though I used to smoke menthol analogs I can't stand the taste since I quit.

Don't give up though, I keep trying different companies and some I like and some I don't. You need to find one that makes a mix that you like. Just order small sample bottles and you are bound to find a flavor that leases you.

Everyone has different tastes and you have to find yours.

Good luck!

the biggest reason for menthol in analogs is to cover over that nasty tobacco taste. If there is no tobacco taste, why bother trying to cover it up? secondly, you may want to go to a lower nic level. I was smoking 2 packs a day, and vape 18. my first order contained a varriety of nic levels, itt sounds likee that headache was a nic buzz. i find I vape more often than i smoke, and if I need more nic, ii Just exhale slowly through my nose... goes right to my brain.

The headache and nausea was most likely New Toy Syndrome. We all use our new e-cigs too much when we first get them. It will pass. Just try not to vape any longer than you smoked, and if you want to vape more, get a nice low nicotine level liquid and put a few drops of higher nic liquid in your cartridge to take care of the times when you want a cigarette.

Might want to join the Georgia Vapers on their social group. Nice to have some local folks for support. I love my social group folks here in Arizona and we help each other out, and meet up to share our liquids for sampling and compare models of e-cigs and battery mods. Great place for a noob to learn.

I find the liquids from China to be pretty awful generally. The tobacco flavors are the best and it is a crap shoot on the other flavors. Menthol is the worst for a chemical taste/smell it seems. Regardless, even the better menthols won't ever taste like a cigarette, but you can get nice flavor from many of the US made liquids such as Halo's line or Tasty Vapor.

Order sample flavors as often as you can. That's about the best advise I can give someone who is looking for a flavor they'll love. The classifieds on ECF is a good place to buy too.

As a 30 year menthol smoker, I recommend the Halo menthols. The Dekang menthols are universally medicinal and overpoweringly menthol. Halo seems to have done it right, just enough menthol to make it refreshing, and it's not covering up a wet tobacco taste. Not sure what they do, but it's good.

Nhaler also makes some menthols and seems to have their mix down as well.
