Got a handful of "genuine" 510 cartos today. Condom filled the first one with about 1ml and the first half dozen hits were pretty good. Great vapor, taste, and TH. Then the nastiest hit you could ever taste hit my throat. Can't say if I'd call it burnt, after smoking analogs I know what inhaling something burnt tastes like. I want to stick a hard bristled brush down my throat and scrape the taste away. I rolled it around abit and shook the carto awhile before I took the first drag. Was this a dry hit? I'd rather burn some blue foam in the coil and suck that in before tasting that again. That was f%^%$*&^*ng nasty. A dry cart with blue foam tasted a 100 times better. I'll try syringe filling the next one and see how that goes. Got some Boges coming tomorrow. Hope they're better. Or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Any suggestions?

Boge, Ikenvape, and smoke tech's dual coil carto's top them all IMO. I bought an off brand when I first started out and swore that I would never do it again (i also bought Joye), and they turned me off. I finally caved and started buying the 3 I listed and nothing tops them. Give Boge a try...never had a bad hit yet but don't let any brand you buy run dry. I hope things turn out for the better.

How do you fill and what is your after-fill procedure for making sure the juice is well distributed?

Yep, Boge is much better. At least I think they're Boge. I can actually see the filler. Filled using condom and that one works great. Good vapor but not a lot of th. Using approx 16mg 50/50. Filled another via dripping. Haven't tried that. Ya, seems like Boge wins over Joye. Who'd uf thunk?

The problem with condom filling the "genuines" is that the fluid can bypass the carto filler and go up the vent tube, then leak right back out.
I think if you do a careful syringe fill on the joye 510 carto, you won't have that problem. At least I don't have that problem.
Frankly, I love them but YMMV.
I, on the other hand don't like Boges. They burn too easy, and need a constant top-off. Heck, if I wanted to do that, I'd just drip...
