Nausea and Headache

I need some help for my son. I sent him a Joye 510 for his birthday and some 24mg prefilled Marlboro carts. He says every time he vapes he gets very nausous and he gets a headache. He is a 2 pack a day Camel smoker and I really want him to quit and he says he wants to quit, but due to his symptoms he can't vape. I persuaded him last night to order some 555-24mg, turkish blend-24mg and Hilton-24mg from RMV. He was out of the camel so couldn't order any. Anybody got a suggestion to help?

Potential allergy to Propylene Glycol? Try VG based liquids.

Sounds more like an overdose of nicotine. My girlfriend had the same symptoms and switched to a lower nic level - 12mg and now she feels fine. I am not sure if he is using carts that can be refilled but Nhaler.com has some great eliquids that are 12mg. I wont use anything but his liquids. Also if the atty is flooded the vapor can have higher concentrations of nic. Hope this helps. Good luck

Oops! Forgot to mention that Nhaler has Marlboro liquid in 12mg which I thought was pretty tasty and i was a menthol smoker when i was on analogs.

This is absolutely normal and quite typical.
When first started vaping i had the same "sea sickness" feeling.
What your son was smoking before is actually irrelevant.
His nausea is caused by a rapid influx of nicotine that normal cigarettes do not deliver.

I remember when i first started I too got all the strongest tobacco flavors too. I thought to myself "I smoke 2 packs of camel wides a day, so this ecig had better be strong".
This logic is wrong.
I strongly believe that a 24 mg tobacco liquid is enough to give any beginner nausea.

The folks on the forum suggested i switch to ecopure medium and that worked fine for me after that.

What's ironical about this story is that I have just received some 60mg liquid from China, and mixed one of my juices a little too generously this evening and am suffering from nausea.

The symptoms are :
1. tingling on the back of the neck, and hands.
2. heightened awareness
3. sweat
4. palpitations
5. nausea and feeling "sea sick"

Your son should scale down to 12~15 mg maximum for a week, until his body is accustomed to the ecigarette nicotine absorption rate...

Surely does sound nic sick to me, too. Although, at 1 1/2-2 packs a day, I started with 24mg and only exhaled to change batteries. Had to go higher to keep from pitching the PV out the window. Another example of how humans are different from me.

Ooops, just had him order 24mg different tobacco flavors. Guess I'll have to send him some VG to tone it down8-o

same here, order him up some vg and send it to him, tell him only to cut small batches, first in half, then by a third, then by a quarter til he no longer needs to cut it--unless, of course, he wants to I think he'll do just fine after that. We tend to vape more than we smoked, and the beginning "wow factor" definatley contributes to that...I remember I couldnt get enuff...LOL, I STILL cant! I used 36mg, lowered to 18/11mg now using 24 again... Hope it all works out for the both of you!

Thanks Crash, I definately need to help him through this, he is killing himself with 2 packs of camels a day. I was going to buy him a Chuck for Christmas, but until he lets go of the analogs it would be a waste of money

Have him e-mail the company and tell them to do vg if they have it available. I am quite sure they will be of help, if the order hasn't been dispatched.
