Hi there, I'm new here but been vaping for about a year now, I apologise if this subject has been covered elsewhere but I really need some help and advice.

About 6 months ago I bought an eleaf iStick 30w plus a Nautilus mini tank, everything has been working great all this time until now but recently the air flow in the Nautilus mini has suddenly got really bad, even on the largest airhole the draw has suddenly become terrible and I have to suck pretty hard just to get a small amount of vape which is weird. In addition when I draw on it I often get a little bit of liquid coming through in my mouth which is really unpleasant. I have always set the voltage on the eleaf to about 5 volts (around 11w) to keep a good balance between battery life and amount of vapour produced, it has always been sufficient in the past but now I seem to have to increase it just to try and get a bit more vapour out and it still makes little difference.

I thought seeing as a lot of people have this combo setup it might be worth making a thread for it as I'm sure other people must have had this problem. I read a few other threads and have stripped, cleaned and washed the whole of the nautilus mini tank including the fairly new sub ohm coil but it hasn't really seemed to make a great difference. It seems so weird as nothing has really changed with my setup although I do regularly use a variety of different e-liquids. I actually have two iSticks (the other is an older standard model rather than a 30w) and switching between these makes no difference so don't think its the eleaf causing the problem.

Any ideas? Could it just be a bad coil I wonder? Any help would be most appreciated! thanks!

Have you tried priming & installing a new head?
How many ml's have you vaped the same head?
As far as I know the sub ohm heads for nautilus are for temp control APV's only.
IMO, Washing / cleaning a bvc head usually does more harm than good.

Have you looked for an obstruction in the air tube or air chamber in the base?

ok thanks for the feedback guys,I did clean the whole thing top to bottom already though and didn't seem to make any difference. i'm thinking it must just be a bad coil too, the one i'm using was only a few days old though. i'll replace it and post back once done. FYI i'm using 1.8 ohm BVC coils which seem to have been working great so far but I guess every once in a while you might just get a dud. cheers
