Hi all,

I've been happily enjoying my Mini nautilus and getting some really satisfying vapes from it. I changed the atty last night and when I tried to use it, my istick 30w said 'no atomiser'. I thought it might have been a dud so I took another fresh one out of the pack and the same again 'no atomiser.' I've since tested 6 atomisers - five new ones and the one I had been using fine on a ohm's meter and all that shows is ---- Can anyone suggest what the problem is and if there is a solution? Thanks.

You don't mention which Istick you're using. The 20 watt is notorious for problems with the 510 connector. FIRST TURN IT OFF. Then using a toothpick or tiny screwdriver try (very gently) prying the pin side to side while raising it up just a bit. Doesn't take much.

Edit: oh, I'm sorry... Your saying your ohm meet won't read them either? I don't know what is going on then. ??

My Nautilus Mini has a tiny spring in the base and when I screw in a coil head I can watch the center connector

move out a little and if that spring got somehow lost or jammed in side ways then the center pin would

not slide out all the way when a coil head is screwed in.

If I take my coil head out as I unscrew it I can watch the pin slide back into the base on it's own power.

the spring is being compressed and released as my coil head is screwed in and out.

I would slowly push the bottom pin out and look at the spring and put it back in again just 2 make sure

it is standing straight up and down and is not bent.........just a possible solution........

Thanks for responding, thetrucker. I'm not completely sure what it is I'm looking for. The base of the tank, where I screw the atomiser in to has a hole all the way through. Are you saying there should be a pin in that? I must admit I've never looked before and wonder if something has come out, and I haven't noticed it.

If you can see straight through the base then your center pin is missing. That might be why you have no connection. If you look at the still shot of the second video Robert Cromwell posted you can see the center pin sticking out of the base.

That's the spring loaded part that was talked about above.

turn your base upside down and Unscrew your coil head and watch the pin on the bottom of the base to see

if it is sliding under it's own power back into the center of the threads a little.

Then screw your coil head back in while holding base upside down and watch to see if the little pin slides

back out under its own power as you are turning the coil head the pin should extend ou a little under it own

power.......you can watch the pin move....

Thanks ckquatt, I missed that picture but kind of got the idea that I was actually missing something from thetruckers contribution. Well, it just goes to prove, you should get to know your gear inside and out before getting all hot under the collar. Now, I need to find an embarrassed emoji lol

Thank you all so much for your help and patience. I don't know what I'd do without this forum!

You could always screw the original coil head that you are trying to replace back into the base and screw

base onto the mod and see if you get a resistence reading on your little mod screen.....

If your old coil head works just fine then there maybe something wrong with your

replacement coil heads........possibility but not necessarily........

In this video the guy takes his center pin out of the base at 1:10 in the video time on bottom of video screen.

He is modifying his air flow ring but you can get the idea of how to remove the center pin and look at the small

spring and reinsert the pin and spring with no problem just to be sure you have the spring in there okay.....did it

myself as I removed my airflow control ring and drilled out all four holes bigger and left my ring off better

airflow now draw is not so tite.......

Believe it or not, I found the little blighter! I tried putting it back in but it kept on going crooked so I took off the rubber ring that holds it in place and lost the rubber ring trying to get that back into the base! lol I think that is lost for good. I did though, get the pin from an old base from one of the tanks I got with the istick which is 510 and it fits. Got my nautilus mini working again and I can't tell you how happy I am about that. Seriously guys you are the best!
