I've searched everywhere. How do you clean these coils???

After just four days with a clear menthol I tried a mountain dew flavor that stuck on my coil so I took it out and soaked it in gin for 4 hours as advised. Let it dry for two days.
Now the wicking sucks and on a 5 sec draw at 11 watts I get burnt taste.
I was vaping happy at 13-15 watts before I tried to clean this thing. Is it ruined now?? Does anyone really know how to clean these things properly??

I tried several different cleaning ideas. Either cleaning made no difference of the improvement didn'd last very long. I'm sure I'll be rebuilding eventually as much as anything because I'm concered the government wants to interfer with my vape. I'll keep using tanks with replacable coils as long as the parts are available without paying sin taxes. But I want to be as self sufficient as possible in the long run.

Tasting burned after the cleaning you gave it tells me it's shot. When I first got my Mini I cleaned the tank and coils when switching flavors but usually ended up like you. Now I just drain the tank, wipe the inside down with a paper towel/qtip and refill with new juice. Some flavors take over right away and some just linger, I try to avoid those flavors. Burned taste is not likely to go away, time for a new coil.

Having been on these coils since August, I have concluded they are simply as disposable as a coil can come.
There are rumours about dry burns and soaking etc. but none of it works for me.
I average 13.5 days per coil (sounds silly, but that's the exact number). I got 4.3 days using Kanger coils (over 14 months).
That improvement is good enough for me and in the UK it costs the same per day as 1/2 a cigarette. So - I'm happy! :)

Ya, I have learned just replace them. 4 days to you and me is someone elses 2 week if they vape less. Don't take those accounts too seriously, plus the type of juices make a huge difference.

50/50 MBV Extreme Ice
Maybe 4ml a day at 12-13 watts on my istick 30
These coils gotta be made to last longer than that.

Yep, that was me too! When you pop a new coil in and after you prime and let sit for a min or two, condition coil. Start at lowest wattage and hit power for 1-3 seconds then go up 0.3 watts at a time till you get to 8-9 watts. Slower you do the brake in the better. Don't understand why but it works, but it does work to make them last longer and vape well at a lower wattage. When I used to just pop in and start at 10-13 watts I would only get 2 days of 5ml/day performance out of each coil. Now, with the brake-in proceedure I get 2-4x the life.

And yes I was using MVP 20watt and the Istick 30watt too. The burning out was actually worse with my beloved 30w for some reason, perhaps my it was real wattage where the mvp readings were off, I don't know.
