Aspire Nova-S's have a silicone "plug" with a hole through the middle inside the factory driptip that narrows down the airflow..I always remove them. Might be one of those?

Seriously though, it was lucky you hooked it out rather than inhaling it.
Could be anything from part of an o ring to a bit of debris from the production line.
Could even be dried up juice condensate.

How often do you rinse your drip tip? If I don't do it once or twice a day then it builds up too much.
Don't worry, that's just the shed carapace of an invasive brain parasite, (Tormentum Mortis Coleoptera) the eggs won't hatch for weeks yet.
