Nautilus mini upper hardware sitting too low causing no clouds

I noticed yesterday that after filling my nautilus mini that the upper hardware is now sitting too low. The BVC coil is threading properly to both the upper hardware and lower hardware however the intake holes are now completely flush with the bottom of the upper hardware. The coil is fine and I replaced it with a new one and have the same problem. I tried to push and screw the inside metal of the upper hardware more tightly to the upper hardware base to no evail. I now barely get a cloud. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions? PS it has nothing to do with the mod or VV/VW.

Really don't know, I don't have one so no experience with them. Just a WAG, missing gasket or o-ring maybe? I would think that would cause a leak also though! Maybe just one worn way down?

That is really odd. I have never seen that before. On the two Nautilus Minis that I have, the bottom of the chimney sit about half the thickness of the wick hole above the wick hole. I checked my tanks and it doesn't look like the chimney can even be unscrewed/detached from the top hardware. Looking at where your wick holes are located in relationship to the level markings on the glass tank, it appears that the wick holes are too high. My guess is that your coil is not screwed down into the bottom hardware tight enough.

It could be that the airflow ring is turned in between holes. Take the Nautilus off and turn the airflow ring til it clicks.

Have you tried to unscrew the tank off a half to 1 turn. I got out my glass tank and screwed it on till it looked like your picture,
I have never found the need to have the tank that tight. If your coil is screwed in to the base fully and your on the normal air flow you use.
That"s all I got at this moment.

That's a good point woodhippy makes, I don't screw mine down that tight either.

I have a nautilus mini i tried to make mine look like yours only thing i could do was loosen the coil then assemble. It leaked juice under the coil after is yours leaking? Other than its a mystery to me good luck hope you get fixed soon.

Here are the pictures of my two Mini's. The holes are a little hard to see since I am using the metal and glass replacement tanks.

That's a very good point. My glass tank doesn't screw down into the top hardware that tight either.



Could it be possible that you are missing the top rubber seal between the glass tank and the upper hardware? This could cause the tank to sit higher up, thereby requiring you to screw the coil in tighter to seal properly on the bottom.

This photo shows when I GREATLY unscrewed the bottom hardware from the but as you can see there is a sizable gap however it does not leak.

Does it vape the way you have it now. When I use the glass tank I only screw it on till the glass flush with the base.

I think i was screwing both the top and bottom hardwares too tightly which has caused both rubber seals to weaken which then caused me to tighten harder with every refill. So for anyone who is new to the Nautilus mini tank: do not tighten either the bottom or top hardwares too tightly. That way the seals stay in their forms. Thank you EVERYONE.

On my older Nautilus Mini (older by one week) the bottom hardware screws onto the tank such that the bottom of the tank and the bottom hardware touches. On my new Nautilus Mini, the bottom hardware and the bottom of the tank has a slight visible gap, but it seals and doesn't leak. With the new one, it is also more difficult to screw the coil/bottom hardware on and off.

I think I got counterfeit coils. The BVC coils that came with my Nautilis mini have smaller holes than the BVC Nautilis coils that I bought. The ones I bought appear to be a hybrid of Aspire Atlantis coils and Aspire Nautilis mini coils. I found the second extra BVC coil that came with my Nautilis mini and it's much better, completely different. What do you think?

I wouldn't judge authenticity by the juice wicking holes, what came with your tank are the older small holes, most of my tanks came with them too. I did get a Mini last week that came with the new larger hole ones.

It's just depends how fast the vendor replenishes stock and gets the new larger hole coils, same goes for the tanks that had the older ones.

The new coils are getting mixed reviews.

The picture is definitely a Nautilus-style coil. The Atlantis coils are threaded at the top.

That said, something looks a little off about the coil. They almost look like the Nautilus Temperature Sensing coils. There should be etching on the coils. It should say Aspire BVC on one side and have the coil's Ohm and BVC on the other side. What does yours say?
