Nautilus/MVP Issue - Rubbery Taste on New(ish) Coil Head

I'll try to format this to be easy to read. My girlfriend's nautilus starts to taste rubbery after about 4 days with the BVC coils. Mine go about two weeks.

She uses an MVP on 9.5W, I use mine on my Vamo, between 11-12.5W.

We've been looking around for awhile as to why hers go bad long before mine do. Somebody at a shop said it could be the wattage is melting the rubber o-ring in the coil head. We pulled out the coil head, and it does look like the o-ring has been affected. He said to not vape above 10W on the Nautilus. Of course, this only happens to my girlfriend who vapes at 9.5W, and not me who vapes at 11-12.5W.

This has been happening for awhile, so it is not just a bum coil.

We swapped bases to our Nautilus tanks, and it still only happens to her. Which leads me to believe that it must be the MVP. We had the guy at the local shop do a voltage test (not super scientific I know), and it reads the voltage output to match what the device was set for.

Now, from forums and reddit, and facebook, I notice that MVP/Nautilus is a popular combination. I imagine if this was a widespread issue, I would have heard of it, but it is the only thing I can think of. Anybody else have any ideas? I'd like to avoid getting her a new device if it isn't the MVP's fault.

Since there are certain juices that break down plastic tanks, I wonder if your juice is doing something similar to some non metal part of your gear. Maybe when you notice it, you clean your gear and replace the coil head which removes the taste for a while. Please let us know what it is if you figure it out.
BTW- I don't see how it could possibly be mod related other than using your mod in a way that gets your atty too hot. And even that wouldn't be a problem with the mod, just how it was used.

Not the mods fault my wife's been using her mvp with a mini for a few weeks now and loves it at 9 to 10w. If your melting the silicone oring on the bottom of the bvc there's a problem in that area. How dirty is it below the bvc is the aero base gunked up? Is the spring not making good contact causing excessive heat? I've run bvc's above 14w with no issues.

Thanks, I'll have her check to see if the bottom part is dirty below where the coil screws in. However, we swapped bases, and I haven't had the issue, so two different Nautilus tanks are having the same issue on hers, but not on mine.

As far as the MVP, I didn't mean that MVPs in general don't work, just that perhaps her specific MVP might be getting hot (haven't noticed anything odd though).
