I'll try to format this to be easy to read. My girlfriend's nautilus starts to taste rubbery after about 4 days with the BVC coils. Mine go about two weeks.
She uses an MVP on 9.5W, I use mine on my Vamo, between 11-12.5W.
We've been looking around for awhile as to why hers go bad long before mine do. Somebody at a shop said it could be the wattage is melting the rubber o-ring in the coil head. We pulled out the coil head, and it does look like the o-ring has been affected. He said to not vape above 10W on the Nautilus. Of course, this only happens to my girlfriend who vapes at 9.5W, and not me who vapes at 11-12.5W.
This has been happening for awhile, so it is not just a bum coil.
We swapped bases to our Nautilus tanks, and it still only happens to her. Which leads me to believe that it must be the MVP. We had the guy at the local shop do a voltage test (not super scientific I know), and it reads the voltage output to match what the device was set for.
Now, from forums and reddit, and facebook, I notice that MVP/Nautilus is a popular combination. I imagine if this was a widespread issue, I would have heard of it, but it is the only thing I can think of. Anybody else have any ideas? I'd like to avoid getting her a new device if it isn't the MVP's fault.
