Aspire Nautilus coil issues.

Hey guys, I got my Nautilus just about a week ago, and it's been vaping marvelously...until now.

The coils (the ones preinstalled upon purchase; 1.6ohm) are already giving me almost nothing but dry hits, and I only vape at 7-9 watts maximum. So, I swapped out the heads, and threw in the 1.8ohm coils, and I am getting primarily dry, burnt, nasty hits from anything above 7.5 watts.

Any reason for this?...

I let my liquids wick for anywhere from 5-10 minutes on each of these before use, as well.

I'm using 70VG/30PG juices.

Sounds like you are vaping faster than the wick can keep up. Is the first pull or 2 good and then it gets nasty or is it nasty from the beginning?

I don't chain vape at all. I play games, and really only take a pull when I die and have some down time, haha.

This 1.8ohm has been nasty from the start. I can only vape it at 6.5-7.5 watts without getting a total bum hit.

I feel I should mention, the Nautilus is authentic, checked on their website.

The BDC heads are known to be flaky. Might be worth it to buy a pack of the BVCs. I use them in my full size (and mini) and they are pretty great. There are a ton of threads on here relative to the BVCs. I run the BVCs at the full 11W my MVP is capable of and have had no issues.

Awesome, I was planning on getting some from 101Vape, but these are a little cheaper! I also use an MVP 2!
