Lol I just stuck two AA batteries end to end- taped the negative wire on, held the positive wire on by hand, and got the cigar working again... It lives... it lives... lol Got soem vapor too :) I'll post the adapter plug one tonight- gotta twist the wires on and it's kinda hard- but it looks liek the USB device for eciggs lol in this picture- you can see hte led is lighting up nicely, and I couldn't get enough vapor on ehale to catchon camera- but it did produce vapor- the AA batteries I'm using a re a bit old- I'll get some newer ones see if that works better to catch soem good vapor too :)

ok I was goign to post pictuers of the innards of the Ruyan- but this fella over on another forums took some really good pictures- but you'll have to translate if you want to read it-

Trog- you know alot bout batteries- can that 3.6 battery from deal extreme (down several posts in that htread i nthe link) be substituted for the 3.0 in the Ruyan? or is 3.6 too much for the cigar? De Ruyan wegwerp sigaar!

Naz, he ordered that battery from DX; and it turned out it was too thick to fit into the cigar (1 mm too thick). Then, while the battery says it is not rechargeable, he tried recharging it anyway; and 1 1/2 days into charging the light went green; and the cigar worked well again....
Then the last post tells, that a technician from Ruyan stated that the battery was nót rechargeable... There is no final word as to how long the supposedly not-rechargeable battery, that did get recharged, worked on that charge though...

lol Thanks Katink- looks liek the fella is tryign the same experiments I am- I'm thinking htough that the cigar casing can be slit up the side to accomodate the thicker battery- I'm not after looks when it comes to a vaping device- Heck, I'll even duct tape the cigar after cobbign the battery- as long as it works- wish I know Dutch, I'd write in & suggest he try that- The important thing will be to get the solderign right- everythign after that is just cosmetic which I aint concerned with

You can just make an english post at the end of the thread... many dutch understand english, and will even reply in english (meanwhile translating it for those that don't know the language). Dutch are used to dealing with 'international' as to languages and don't normaly mind it (and certainly on that site they wouldn't mind... there are even people there with their own english sub-forums :) ) - so feel free to make the post you have in mind.

Thanks Katink- Ihtink I'm goign to althouygh they might not understadn my 'English' lol. I've take to just using a 9 volt batte5try- yep I know it's goign to kill the device, but it's not usable wit hte old battery anymore anyways, so I'll just hook the wires up to the 9 volt and let her rip till she dies. So far it's working but we'll see what happens

naz most none rechargeable lithium cells are 3 volt.. the same as two AA alkalines in series (end to end)..

most rechargeable lithium cells are 3.7 volt.. anything around (between) three to four volts should power your cigar..

trog

ps.. anyone that tries to charge an unknown lithium cell is an idiot.. dont do it..

Reading through the thread I was alittle confused about whether it has been referring to the disposable cigar or the rechargeable cigar version.

What interests me the most is the "hit" value of the product and whether it feels like smoking. The brand that I have, Jist, has both products and am considering which to buy for my boyfriend. I think he will like the Jist Cuba because of the style alone. Not sure how the device will preform.

Can someone give me any hints what the Jist products are equivalent to from all the products you have tried.
