I'd really like to try someone's who has a loss in flavor. Mine is 'next to dripping' like flavor.

I just got my eGoT and I have mixed opinions about it. I heard so many people give the same review as you "same as dripping" and was super excited to get mine. I have also heard negatives about the attys (but never about lack of flavor or TH). I have to say, you cannot beat the ease. No more adding drips and drops every hour (or less). Very consistent hits. BUT - I was very disappointed with the lack of flavor and TH. It has a very cool vape to me. The flavor is not bad, its just that it is not as strong as my KR808d1 cartos. My attys seem to be working great, but I have only been using them for 36 hours, so only time will tell. The one thing I did notice is that the atty seems to hang on to flavors pretty well (it seems to really like my cola, but not necessarily the RY4, butterscotch or coconut - and to me the RY4 is a stronger flavor than cola). So, just swapping tanks on the same atty may take you a good 10 hits to taste the flavor of the tank you put in.

I think I'm going to get an e-go pass through ( Joye eGo-T USB Starter Kit (Lite) - UnSmoke ) and just a single tank atty and a few extra tanks. Then, if (when, I guess) I can find them I'll pick up a pack of the CE2 cartos and see how I like them. I may also look at doing a variable voltage DIY project if I can find one to build something that'll run up to 5v.

Seems to cover most of my bases for the least amount of cash and some flexibility moving forward. Thoughts?

Anybody know who's got CE2 stuff in stock?

Your order sounds similar to the one I placed. I already had the 510, so I knew that even if the tanks didn't work out, the eGo batteries would be compatible with my attys, carts and cartos. In the same order, I ordered a pack of CE2s. I had also heard such wonderful things about them, I was willing to pay the extra for them (compared to cartos). OMG - what a let down. (Re)filling them is a ROYAL PITA. I don't know how many videos I watched about ways to modify them to make them easier - removing the first, second or third silicone rings, removing the filling ring with the two tiny holes by removing the tube just would not work - that puppy is stuck in there, fluffing the wick, etc). I finally gave up on trying to make it reasonable to fill and decided to use it as it was designed. I broke out the syringe, blah, blah, blah and the first hit nearly made me vomit. That is by far the most, worst burnt plastic taste I have ever tasted. Makes a dry carto or empty cart taste like Nirvana. After that I put the 3 sealed and 1 unused (that I tried to remove the filling ring) back in the box with the filling tips and mouthpiece in a baggie with the juice I plan to list FS/FT. I'm so frustrated.

I am going to order a LR tank atty and see how that works. I spent so much on analogs, that even buying 2 LR tank attys a week ($20) would still be far cheaper than my analog habit ever was. I also got the mega atty for the eGo and that has been a nightmare as well - it floods so easily, but if you chain vape (like I do), the juice doesn't wick fast enough and you get dry filler taste. I think those mega attys are only good for dripping (which I find annoying). I'm going to also try a mega cone atty and cart and see how it goes. I love the flavor and TH of my original 510 atty/carts, but the frequent topping off is annoying.

If none of the above works out, I'm putting my hope in the new 510 tank that was reviewed today by Vermont Vapors. Good flavor, good TH - I don't think I'm asking too much????

Cat, really, get a REO. No muss, no fuss, 100% mechanical vaping bliss. No more napkins or syringe refills. Minis and Grands should both be available in the next week or two. Reos Mods

Looks like a good plan. Having 510 connections on everything is wonderful....and you can get adapters, for trying out other goodies as needed or wanted. I think you'll be surprised at the vapor production of just switching to a bigger battery. It sure seemed that way when I got my ego.

If you and the tank get along (I did) - try the LR atty for it on a later purchase. Just subtle difference---and certainly could act as a back up.

I've also become a bottom feeder fan & am grooving in nicely with my Phidias. Sure, there is a learning curve--like I've had with every PV. Had to give it a thumbs up!

Bah! I love some of these mods but trying to keep everything such that I can pick up a couple bottles of juice and what I'm looking for for under $100 if possible. Shipping is no fun either as I can't find one place that has both of the things I'm looking for (ego passthrough and EC2s). : b

Still loving the feedback and info, putting together a list of stuff to look at later. Halfway tempted to do my own variable voltage battery at some point soon.

Thanks!

Healthcabin.net doesnt have what you need??

@Cat_in_the_Playground remove the inner bridge in the tank for better performance and flavor. Mouth side of whistle tip, pull out first plug, then pull out second plug. Set 2nd plug aside and replace the first plug.

PS there are similar tanks (like eGo-T) for the 510 now as well. Think GotVapes.com has them - called smart cart

Check MyVaporStore.com I have ordered from them too many times to count (MVS and my credit card have a good relationship, tho). They have the CE2s and eGo USB PTs (cheaper and faster shipping than HealthCabin, since they are US based).

I pulled that inner plug (knew exactly what you were talking about from dealing with annoying eGo cartos - talk about a PITA to fill!), but unfortunately don't notice any difference in flavor or TH. If I take a super slow drag, I can increase the TH, but it feels really unnatural. I ordered a couple LR attys from GP, so hopefully that will help.

I have seen the smart carts. They still have some filler. I'm still holding out for the new 510 tank system. The review says it has awesome flavor and good TH. I think he said they will be in by middle of next month.

I swear, my breakeven point from analogs is probably 2020!

Ok. . one last question. What resistance should I get to use with the ego passthrough?

Well, that's a subjective question. You can use standard and LR devices. The LR will burn out faster and drain your battery faster but, they'll give you a hotter draw and more vapor. I'd say anywhere from 2.0 to 3.0 will be fine.

Well, again, thanks all for the info. I got my stuff a couple days ago and a couple surprises (and a couple un-surprises).

Surprise: I actually like the tanks. There may be some flavor loss, but honestly, I'm still smoking (analog) a bit so it could be that I just need to get vaping exclusively (24 hours down!). They're pretty clean, experience is good, easy to fill, etc. Not sure how I feel about the cone stuff, but no complaints overall.

Unsurprise: The CE2 R5 seems to be problematic as well (see thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/176548-ce2-r5s-fat-wick-mvs.html#post2956511 ). I REALLY like the concept (and price, etc) of these things and am going to try and get it figured out, but so far not so great.

Anyway, thanks again, you guys helped out a LOT!

Glad you're liking the tanks.
I had given up on mine but recently pulled them out for a second try.
After figuring out how to get the wick-plate out and making some adjustments I finally got my tank attys doing much better.

I made my own wicks out of tea bag material and silica rope (from a dead ce2). Also did some with tea bag material only.

I also carefully pushed the coil a bit to one side on one of mine that had a REAL TIGHT draw so a little more air could flow around it...it floods less on me now, and if it does flood, the juice can just be blown down through the hole instead of it pooling up in the cone/sponge, gunking stuff up, and keeping the whole thing way too WET as it did before.

If I keep messing with it I can eventually get it right for a particular juice. It's really nice for a few days then :)

I think the key to keeping these in service a while is to devote an atty to a liquid. Once it's set up right...don't use any other juice...don't even clean the thing till you have no choice in the matter. When cleaning...actually pull the wick plate off and reset the whole thing from scratch.

For me, these are still hard to get a good 'lung' hit from. They're nice for sipping up a mouth full for the flavor tho'.

pick up a type b LR ego atomizer and a drip tip to use when you are at home. Ive been going on this one for weeks now no issues, and gives you that flavor boost.

Credo I clean mine with a generic walgreens brand denture tabs...tip I picked up here on the forums. Warm water set atty on top of tab as its dissolving. Wait for water to turn clear again rise blow out leave overnight on towel, good as new.
