Hi,

I thought I would share this story, I bought a 510 kit from Cignot a few months ago (very good seller) as I was trying to quit normal cigs. I was a bit leery of continuing to use the chinese (RYU 4) juice so I decided to try out American made juice. My first purchase was from Johnson Creek, Original and the Tennessee Cured, my first thoughts were upon opening the bottles was that the original smelt like wet dog and I have still not tried vaping it. The Tennessee Cured I did try for a few days but the taste was terrible, I was about to quit ecigs for good when I came to this forum and discovered American eliquid, boy that stuff is great. Outstanding taste and lots of vapor!!

I'm down to one normal cigarette a day now.

Congratulations!

Also, do not neglect playing around with flavors that you can DIY. Some people use Lorann's - I ordered some from the Perfumers Workshop, with the intention of 'saving' some of these bottles of juice that I really can't stand.

I ordered Blueberry, Bavarian Cream, Coffee and such - just to give you an idea. Nothing personally makes me sicker than wet dog smell - I'm not sure what would cover up that (but, hey - worth a shot, right?).

At the risk of asking a potentially stupid question, have you tried the dirty sock liquids again after having them for awhile? I was so disappointed after receiving my first shipment of liquids because they all had the dirty sock thing going on but I happened to catch an ECF thread talking about some juice not tasting good immediately after receiving it, so I went back and tried them again and all of them are good now. It's only been a week after I got them but it made all the difference.

Taste changes dramatically after you have not smoked analogs for a couple of weeks.
Let them sit one the shelf and try them later. In the mean time get some juice from other venders, Tasty vapor and ms ts bakery have really strong juices, you may do better with strong flavors for now and they are really good:)

I think Johnson Creek is a love it or hate it kind of thing. Some of theirs I really love, others are yuck. Samples or small bottles are always the way to go when you can to try different things.

You might look in the juice trades threads or the pay it forward social group to try differant things at low or no cost,

I agree. For me, it was about 2 or 3 weeks after having my last analog that I really started tasting things again. So don't throw out the JC liquid just yet. It might be that you still hate it after giving your taste buds time to recover, but you never know. Personally, I love JC's Tennessee Cured and Original. Right now, those are the only two liquids I use.

But, having said that, I did try their Kona flavor once, and that stuff was vile. That experience turned me off of any coffee-flavored liquids. And yet, there are others who love the coffee flavors (including the JC Kona -- or whatever it's called now). Everyone's tastes are different. :)

This is absolutely true. When I started I had a sampler of about 10 kinds of tobacco flavor. I ordered an eGo about 4 days in and some juice to go with it. When I tried the juice that came with the eGo it was GROSS! It reminded me of frito's and .... when I first tried it so I just put it aside and thought, "well, I won't be doing that again anytime soon!"

A week or so later, I had run through the one tobacco juice that I liked from the sampler and tried the frito/.... juice again - it was the best juice I had! After trying it again I decided it tasted sort of like carmel corn!
