Jake.. I see what you mean about the button on that ZMax. I have a flat-top batt in there right now and it keeps non-firing after a second or two. I also noticed that the head on the unit is slightly separated from the tube, right above where the button is mounted. When I get back to Lincoln, I will re-seat the top after giving the button a look over from inside of the housing.

Well I'm glad it's happening to you, too! I noticed that the head was slightly separated, I tried to push it on a little....but like I said, since it was my only pv at the time I was a little hesitant to mess with it too much.

So far other than my screen falling out and the non clicky button, the only negative I've found so far on this vamo is that I really start to notice a drop off around 3.7 volts......the zmax seamed to hold pretty good until around 3.5 volts

hmm i dont notice a drop until around 3.5 3.4, what batt config you running and u using vw or vv?

The odd thing is that I dont have the button issue with a nipple-top batt..leads me to believe it's a seating/contact issue

I had thrown a low batt (3.4v) in thezmax before the charger and I was able to take it down to almost 3.2 before I really noticed that much
