The 4.8 cell stack in an unregulated mod could probably handle a 1.8 ohm atty. Wouldn't last as long between charges (they are only 600mah, less at high current). Should be usable in any unregulated tube or box mod designed for a single 18650. Without any electronics to worry about frying a 'straight through' mod should handle attys from 1.8 to 2.4 ohms with acceptable results. Less than 1.8 ohms would be pushing the little 4.8v stack and over 2.4 ohms and vaping power falls off.
They still have their place in vaping as a safer alternative to Li-ion.

Many folks forget the importance of atty/carto resistance.

Good luck, stay safe.
