So...the other night I couldn't wrap a coil ..roll a piece of mesh to save my life. Got really frustrated. I was so ...... I had to walk over to the neighbors and kick their cat....cuz I don't have one. I was cat kicking ...... and I don't have one....going to the animal shelter after work today.....is that wrong?
Last night I came home determined to get it....literally a 5 minute gig. Done....working...and the VARI likes it....so good?????
28 ga. Kanthal.....7....yep count em...7 wraps.... Initially meters out at .9(...)....then moves to 1.2 and that's where it has stayed.
Ok...I'm somewhat coil happy.
Rolled a new wick the other night. Had it been on video I'm sure it would go viral....title would be "first time wick rolling dumbass fails"...
Did a somewhat hollow roll. I'm here to tell you hollow sucks. Period. Roll them puppies tight.
I also cut it shorter( I can see the bottom through the window) because I have read that it can short on the bottom of the rba.
Now I feel the need to tilt constantly because I can see the bottom of the wick compared to the juice level....and that mf'ing hollow wick
Blurbs out bubbles when I tilt it making me feel that it's not wicking very well...
Dammit...just writing this pisses me.....going to the neighbors for a bit.....
I'm back. 3 points right down the middle....that cat hates me....

So I cut it short because I've read it could short on the bottom of the tank. That makes sense....
While I'm easing into the wick hole.(I said wick hole)..I realize its not insulated...no insulator of any kind..so..again.........
If its not insulated at the wick hole
why should I worry about an oxidized wick touching the bottom???
Anyway...it's up and running and the flavor with kanthal beats nichrome...
Going to prep a new carto today. Since I have been hitting this rba the life of my cartos has grown. Going to see what is what.
Hitting 50% less should, in theory, double the life....aye???
Ok... Enough of the trivial crap...meat and taters....
I know it was stated "no politics"...but briefly....I hope this sequester thing forces the FDA to shut down....that is all.
I love a LINDY.....cream filled doughnut with maple icing....I can't eat one(well I could if I bumped a quart of insulin)....but they are awesome. That and waffles....I would kill for an all you can eat waffle fest.
Good coffee is worth it's weight in gold. I'm not talking that overpriced Starbucks crap...which I admit is good...but a good home brewed cup of Joe rocks. A cup of coffee should be

Don't go to the shelter....I've got a bunch of strays I'll round up for you....then you can take turns kicking.....can't wait for the Pitt's wick and coil rolling class.....I was reading a bunch yesterday about it doesn't matter if your wick touches the bottom....shouldn't cause it to short.....like you said it's already touching the wick hole.....any problems, just lick it then stick you finger in it an wiggle it round......coffee is yucky....love me some Dew in the morning......make you some waffle flavored juice??
