Don't know what it is but for some reason that adapter trick works now and then. Optimally I wouldn't use an adapter unless absolutely necessary.

and i tend to use adapters with my vivi novas as there split threading tends to have issues with my lrider floating pin

My aga hasn't leaked 1 drop (knock on wood )
So far I'm very happy with it.
Need to recoil but kinda lazy right now.
