Nebraska Vaping, Part 2

Have you guys checked out all the hibernation/sleep settings and just turned them off? Was the inside dirty and/or dusty? Temp monitor? May have had excess heat that was causing glitches with the GPU

all those settings are off, duh not my first rodeo first thing we checked. He has heat sensors on his tower but i dunno if it checks his monitor temp... also he was looking at reviews on this monitor and this is an issue it had its almost 8 years old.

dell 2007 wfp (monitor)

Nvidia geforce GTX 580 x2

Don't think I need any mobo info for this.. I like the GTX 580, that's what I run. I do know that there are certain glitches that can occur while running GPUs in SLI.. But, if memory serves, usually it's artifacts and random tearing, or not recognizing the "piggyback" card. Usually taken care of by a simple driver upgrade. Let me check on something..

Lol, well just had to check.. Have you tried the monitor on another computer to see if it does the same thing? Or, I dunno.. Hook up a different monitor to the computer?

BWAHAHAHAHAHA that was what i intially suggested last night!!!!! After ohh about an hour of him pouting on the couch then him dicking around with the comp for another hour yes, we plugged in my monitor after his went to sleep mode and showed the screen instantly, but his ssd drive was crapping out by that point from hm turning the comp on and off constantly. So we still really dont know where the issue is stemming from right now i am watching his monitor to see if it shuts off if it does gonna swap the monitors and see if it happens on my comp and if mine stays on on his comp as it seems to not be doing it as much now as it was last night but that could be cause its cooler or there was dust and he vacumned them up.. Like i said he told me it happened this morning but so far nothing odd is occuring but havent done anythign really graphically intense on his comp yet. I should log into wow on his comp and see if anything weird happens.

I personally think its a monitor issue i remeber having a similar thing happen to me with a monitor as it was about to die i just went to power down mode.. Just hoping its not a graphics card issue those cards are still expensive.

I think I am gonna fiddle with my AGA after a bit and get the flooding issue worked out on my one ChID.. It's been long overdue, lol

I personally think its a monitor issue i remeber having a similar thing happen to me with a monitor as it was about to die i just went to power down mode.. Just hoping its not a graphics card issue those cards are still expensive.

True thankfully he has a 3 year warranty on his comp so if it comes down to it RMA it back to the company and tell them to fix it and this time do it right... OMG its a good thing he has that 3 year warranty cause this computer has been the comp from hell... Mostly ssd issues but still.. it was a friday special (thats what bf calls it) they quick slapped it together and mailed it out on friday fast so they could get the hell outta dodge, with the issues he has been having with this stupid thing i kinda believe him.. Kinda cause i have watch how impatient he gets with it also when patience is required to let the computer think.. its only as smart a the operator and sometimes you just gotta wait a minute for it to catch up. Slapping the keyboard only makes it think harder ROFL... oh well. Got a comp from Ibuypower for me also and so far not a single issue.

A computer with those specs shouldn't need a minute to catch up, lol.. I would be frustrated too! I've never been big on slapping the keyboard. The mouse stomp has always been my forte

mouse stomp is better then random key punch though it doesnt try to trigger 500 applications at once unless you click on them lol.
