Big PITA trying to work out the shorts and hot spots.....spent 2 hours getting it to work......the first one I did with silica took me about 15 minutes...

That's odd.. Wonder what the problem is? Is the mesh propped up against the sides? I wonder if the coil is cutting into the wick after you get it attached to the leads..
You will have to let me know how that goes.. Maybe some pic updates!
