That's odd.. Wonder what the problem is? Is the mesh propped up against the sides? I wonder if the coil is cutting into the wick after you get it attached to the leads..

That's my guess.....the coil cutting into the wick....I need to get a tiny drill bit or something so I can wrap my coil peter k style.....I have a hard time getting a good coil wrapped when I wrap it directly on the wick....either too tight or too loose.....I did 6/7 wrap coil and got 1.5ohms...

What gauge are you using? How thick is your wick?

30ga, not sure how thick the wick is......I think the mesh was just over 2 inches...

That sounds like a lot crammed into that little space.. I would guess that when it gets bunched up in there, it is causing shifting of the coils. What if you wrap a little silica in a piece of mesh that fits in there horizontally.. That way the silica comes out of both ends and wraps around in the cup. You will still get the mesh taste without all of the hassel

I might end up doing that next time.....I've got it working right now, we'll see how long it lasts...
