Well.... I spent 5 and a half years as an Army Ranger, and then 2 more years as an intelligence nut in the army before getting out, so you hedge your bets on whether or not I'm packing when I leave the house.

Like I alluded to in my previous post, been vaping 2-3 weeks, with a vision spinner VV 1300 MAH and smoketech screw tanks on some cheap variety pack flavors. I recently ordered some vivi novas (husker red) and about 10 new flavors from various vendors, mostly my first intention has been to grab the top flavors of the 2012 juice awards from here on the forums and see how that goes. Still looking in to what I want for equipment, I think what I currently have may end up becoming the wife's (she's never smoked so I plan on getting her a bunch of nic free flavor stuff for fun). I work on electronics and machines right now for a living, so I think rebuilding and modding will be my route, kinda looking around in that area for some nice stuff, definitely gonna want a VV mod that measures coil resistance for when I do rebuilds. Other than that, I'm not sure what I'll want as it's all so new to me.

I was also never a smoker, so I don't like throat hit and prefer a cool, flavorful vape. I was a dipper for 7 years in the army, where I experimented with nearly every brand and flavor that ever hit the market. That's kind of what I'm looking to do here. I also spent a couple years training with the military's culinary olympics team, so food and flavor has always been a huge thing of mine. I still do a lot of cooking at the house (just brined a delicious brisket for St. Patty's day) and my next step is to buy or build a smoker that I can do cold smokes with so that I can produce my own bacon. I also want to get in to creating my own juices and blending my own flavors, potentially even make a business out of it if I can get the hang of it, as I'd love to work for myself one day.

Sounds like you will fit in pretty nicely! Pretty sure all of us in here DIY our liquids and use rebuildable atties.. And Hawk is a B1G fan of the Huskers and meat.. especially his own meat

Sounds like what you're after is what we all chase here. I think we all rebuild and DIY. As far as looking for that next device....that just never ends....never.
Glad you found your way here. We pretty much use this place to blow off steam, but we also talk equipment and such. We take a little of getting use to but we're harmless....for the most part.

I think there was some question about the testing in that it mentioned something like silver coated copper and soldering?????
The never mentioned what they were testing, but in 2 1/2 years of vaping I have never vaped anything with silver coated copper wires and soldering involved with it.

But you dont use cartomizers though either, right?

From what i can tell they took the cheapest cartomizer they could find and tested it and found questionable QQ issues, but i dont understand what alot of it means.

Looks like they were testing pre-filled cartos, from a cig look-alike company.. Which parts are you having difficulty with?

the techno chemical babble of parts per million and blah blah blah.. i gathered it was a cheapy thing, didnt realize it was a prefilled carto... wish they would tell us the name of the carto for sure, not just prominenet company blah blah blah... and how does this compare to like a boge, is the numbers they give truly anything to worry about or is it fear mongering.

Parts per million (ppm) is a scale used to indicate how much of something is in a suspension..

Yeah, some more info would have been nice, as far as what they were testing, etc. My guess is that boge is similar as far as the poly-fill and fiberglass, but the wire used is nichrome. It is soldered, iirc.. mostly fear mongering

Silver coated coils....I don't know. Sounded like a test done with an agenda in mind.
