We have a shiate ton of truss that we own and rent....and set up.
When I say a shiate ton....trust me. We have a lot. And we constantly rent a lot of it.
We have an inventory for this truss. Very precise. When some dumbass up front wants to rent truss to someone they are suppose to check the inventory....twice. Sometimes stuff will be out but due back and that needs to be checked and a buffer added to the dates to make sure it's back.
A week and a half ago the dumbass VP comes out with a dumbass hand drawing instead of a worksheet....because he's a dumbass.
It was a drawing of a very large truss structure with dimensions. The first thing I noticed was all of the 1' pieces in this structure.....32 to be exact. We have 6 because its an odd and rarely used size. When I told him that he got uppity and said that he had already committed this to the client. I told him that he better order more because we don't have it...never have had that much and with everything being rented for Berkshire and another job there was no way I could even reconfigure what he had and make the overall dimensions work. Told him that in fact, we were down to the nitty gritty on inventory and hopefully nobody has miscounted or misplaced anything.
Today the dumbass has his idiot right hand biatch come out and hand me another hand drawing for a very large truss structure that has to ship on the 29th. I asked her if we were going to pull this out of my .... or hers. She gave me a stupid look, because she's so very good at that, and I told her that Dumbass and I just went through this a week or so ago. No truss.....all gone.....quit renting the shiate without checking availability.
