I love my JACs and wouldn't trade them for anything. For those on a budget though, I've been pretty impressed with this one.

CB-80 TC Box Mod - Wismec | Breazy.com

Almost exactly the same size as a JAC, but lighter (cheaper materials). It will likely scratch up pretty easily, but for $20 it's getting a lot more play than I had expected.

The CB-80 has been my out-and-about (including work) kit for over three months, and looks/works the same as the day I received it. I liked it so much I bought a second kit. I also find the Amor NS Pro tank it is kitted with to be as good as the Zenith/Zlide tanks for MTL while being 5mm shorter. It amazes me how overlooked the kit is for MTLing. Here's a photo with the tank from the second kit.
PS: I also have a Jac on the way cause it's pretty.

I guess that means you have not experienced what one of the reviewers talked about on that site?

reviewer on Breazy:
This is to everybody who reads this review... The mod is fantastic hands down. My main use for this mod is strictly MTL with 22 ml tanks. This mod suits this application very well. My only and biggest complaint is the unhinging battery door... Easily and with no warning the battery door opens and the battery falls out

I've had that with other mods (mainly IPVs), but this one has been tight as a drum for me (so far, at least). Maybe we got lucky, or he/she got unlucky?

I'll admit that it was a concern of mine when it first arrived (because of my IPV experiences). So far though (touch wood), no issues. I carry it a lot too.

I havn't read that and I don't know what to make of it. The doors on both of my CBs have been as secure as Fort Knox. In fact, if I were to comment on them at all, I'd be more likely to say they're almost too secure. The only "negative" I found was when I first bought it I was still vaping DTL and at 60W or above it would get a bit warm. At low MTL wattage, it's a non-issue.

At my rocking 11 watts of pure power, it's been kewl. :vapor:

It is not bare metal. It is "zinc alloy" (like I said) that has been "plated", according to Jac Vapour's web site. I said "painted" instead of "plated".

Most mods are zinc alloy that is painted or "plated". I suspect the sandstorm is a powder coat paint but Jac Vapour doesn't give specifics about the "plating". It's definitely NOT bare brushed metal.

Very few mods are bare steel... I can think of 2. Unfortunately fewer and fewer are made out of aluminum. Zinc alloy is cheaper.

My dream mod would be made from a solid block of aluminum like the Aspire NX75-A but have a DNA75C chip. The Sbody macro just has an aluminum shell (not a solid block) but at least it's aluminum. Anodized aluminum can have a Rockwell hardness up to around 60.

Someone posted a beat up Jac that had worn "plating" and someone recommended a skin for it. That was what came to mind. For example

Another example...

Another example that talks about wear to both the old black and the new SANDSTORM...
I'm not in this conversation but you're the only person I've seen with a gold KFL+ like I have. Mine's an Ehpro and works perfectly.

HI , ME AGAIN!

still haven't ordered a new MOD...
Might simply replace the board on the VT75 nano later but will buy another mini MOD now too.

jac vapour, I don't really care if it chips. BTW I remember my $25 hana modz dna 30 clone Silver never scratched, as though it was simply aluminum, so I dunno why they don't make chip/scratch proof mods with just plain metal as if the 50 cents difference in material costs really matters to be using something else? Aluminum very light too. Silver DNA75 nano won't chip either. I prefer not chipping, but not really a deciding factor. Mainly getting the sbody macro instead because it's, well, like half price almost and I think it looks pretty cool.

I'm confused which sbody macro to buy.
What's the difference between "Classical" and the "Update"? the same? But different from the original?

I know the "II" AKA "2" is a totally different mod, is bigger, holds a 20070 or 18650 and lights up, and I'm not interested in that one.

I'm also confused how the original macro has the buttons on top of eachother but the new one has them side by side just like they are on the DNA75 board, so how does the original even have a DNA75 if the buttons don't line up??

which of these do I order? Or is there a better place?
I want to pay with paypal BTW and never used aliexpress yet. TY

Welcome to the friendly bunch :)

The sbody DNA 75 is a pretty good deal....alieexpress is fine but you need to look at the rating of the vendor 96% is ok so you'll be fine..it'll take about three weeks to get to you unless you pay for faster shipping.

There are various places. A lot of people use Fasttech who are a very trustworthy chines supplier but unfortunately the sbody macro is sold out there :)

You can trust the aliexpress supplier though as well so i'd go for it.

Hope that helps.
