Pretty much any that fits the 18650 will charge It up. I would suggest not skimping on a charger though you want a charger that will not overcharge the cell. I suggest a Nitecore Intelecharger at the very least. I been using the I 4 for a year now and its fantastic. you may be able to find one on ebay or amazon in your price range but you'll probably need to wait for it from overseas. the other charger I can recommend is the Trustfire Model TR-001 its not as nice as the Nitecore IMO but its a safe charger that I have used for 5 years now and no issues those you can get for around 20$

You buy the top of the line batteries yet you want to skimp on a charger? :glare:

Your batteries are the most important item in your entire setup. Your charger is nearly as important as your batteries. I find it amusing (?) that people will spend hundreds of dollars on a battery holder and an atomizer, yet buy the cheapest batteries and charger that they can find on EBay or Amazon. Shouldn't their priorities be the other way around?

Not all batteries are created equal. Not all chargers are created equal either.

I wasn't trying to skimp on the charger. I've seen plenty of people say that Nitecore is a decent charger. Not the best, but decent. Sure the batteries are "top of the line" but they were only $20 for the pair. I've just seen to stay away from Trustfire or anything with fire in the name. Maybe if I get into mechs a little more I'll invest in a higher end charger but I only intended on using the mech to hold me over til my XPV ships in July and I think it'll be fine. The MVP2 is jusr not cutting it anymore so I wanted something with a little more oomph.

Chipotle.
Xtar MC1 , Lots of features packed in a small package. A shockingly good charger for under $6(XTAR MC1 Charger)

I was going to buy a two bank charger for ~$25 but now I use two Xtar MC1's side by side, $12 for two chargers with three stage charging, dead battery wake up, over temp and over volt protection. Honestly it was a no-brainer for me. When I'm on the go I can use one in the car and not take a bulky larger charger around places with me. Fantastic little charger!

I travel for a living. I take an mc1 with me. It works great. Best cheap charger out there.

If my Intellicharger i4 died on my tonight, my money would go on an Xtar. Heard too many good things about them. If you can get one within budget I'd give that the nod.

My i4 is great, however one of the bays broke fairly quickly. No idea how it happened, most likely user error as I seem to be the only one with the issue.

OP just a word of warning about intellichargers and VTC5's. Just got some of them and went to charge them in my i2 intellicharger last nite, it did not go well and the charger got so hot that I had to remove the batteries and stop charging them in it. The batteries were also very hot from the charger.

Now I've charged VTC4's, EFest 35A,20A and AW 18650's in this charger with no problems, but I can tell you I won't be putting those VTC5's anywhere near it again. Just waiting on a Xtar VP1 for the VTC5's now.

I have an Xtar WPII and an Efest LUC 4. The Efest is more accurate and better built, but it's also more expensive. I find 4 charging bays are essential if you sub ohm. One of the charging lights on my Xtar also does not work properly (one of the colors died on one channel).

Also, I would not order from RTD Vapor. There were very fast to answer pre-sales questions, but once they made the sale they would not respond to an issue I had with a dead charger I bought from them.

Perfect. I've run one for 2 or 3 years with out a single hiccup. I see they've updated it so you don't need spacers for 18350s any more! COOL!

That sounds like a good update to me :) installing/removing those spacers all the time is really the only complaint I've had about that charger, otherwise it's served me quite well
