I switched to e-cigarettes about 2 months ago and I like it, but now I'm craving more vapor. I've been using eco-cigs and at first they did the job, but it gets less and less as time goes by. Now, I find I have to puff the hell out of it just to get a decent throat hit. I really don't want to go back to smoking analogs because my lungs feel great now. I really like the pre-filled cartomizers and I'm hesitant at filling my own. Any suggestions for a better cig? All feedback welcome.

Thanks!

Congrats on quitting and welcome to ECF.
For a quick simple solution with a variety of prefilled flavors in cartos available you can go to V4L, one of the suppliers here on ECF. They sell the 808 2 piece system. That may or may not be your final solution but it will get you started.
I started with the 808 from V4L before I got here and it was definitely a lot easier to figure out what everyone was talking about while I had something in my hand to look at. And of course I read lots and lots here also. This is a wonderful source of info on all things ecigs.
Good luck with it all and enjoy.....

You want something like an eGo battery + low resistance 510 atomizer. Or a mod would be even better but maybe you're not quite ready for all that. TH depends on juice too. I couldn't get a good, satisfying "hit" either with my first gear and juice.

Note you could try something like SNUS too in the meantime to get your nic without smoking.

How big or how high voltage an e-cig you will like can depend on how many and how strong of cigarettes you used to smoke. The KR808-d1 or 510 / ego styles are great starter kits, easy to use and satisfying. A heavy, long term, strong cig smoke may only find salvation in a higher voltage mod, with high nicotine juice. Each vaper has their own sweet spot, depends a lot on the individual's taste and habit.

Yes and thus it will take time and money to find your "sweet spot". Just the way it is with this market and product being still in it's infancy. Way better now than a couple years ago though and will only continue to improve.

I don't think its the end of the world if you have to continue to smoke during this period but like I said there are other options for getting nicotine.

Batteries degrade with time. Depending upon usage, you should plan on replacing the batteries for any of the standard cigarette-looking systems every 2-3 months. You can prolong this by getting more batteries and rotating. So if your current system was working fine for you before but isn't now, you might consider just buying new batteries for it which would be a very inexpensive solution to the problem.

For cigarette-like systems, which is what I prefer, I like the following configurations:

510 Mega (280 maH) battery with 510-T atomizer and 510-T cartridges. (You need a syringe and e-liquid for this.) If you get four batteries, a charger and a PCC you'll have a complete go-anywhere system.

808d-1. I like V4L for superficial reasons -- many color options for batteries! Don't get the super-short batteries. Get a couple boxes of CE2 Rev4 cartos and a syringe and e-liquid. Again, get four batteries, a charger and a PCC for a go-anywhere system.

(The 510 and 808 refer to different thread types on the batteries. The 510 is a female-threaded battery and the 808 is a male threaded battery.)

I have never needed more than two batteries in a day with these systems. The reason for getting four is to rotate the batteries thereby extending their useful lifespan.

I also prefer manual batteries, especially with 808d-1 systems because they seem to give better performance. On the 510-T system the auto mega battery actually works okay but the manuals still have performance advantages. Still, if an auto battery is your preference IMHO the 510 autos are better than the 808 autos.

Both of my recommendations are "tank" type systems. They are easy to refill without the headaches of burnt polyfill, etc.

But, again, before looking at these, I would strongly consider just getting replacement batteries for your current unit is your current unit was working well enough in the past.

If you want an e-cig with more vapor then try the ego w/an 650 or a 1100 battery. You can go anywhere from six to twelve hours before recharging the battery depending on which kit you get. Refilling carto's is really easy and you can find all kinds of tutorials on how to do it on U-Tube. I would stay away from the 510 if I were you unless you have plenty of batteries or like to be recharging them all the time as the recharging time on these is about two hours tops. I know I have one. Another pv you might look into is the mod Great vapor great th. I have the e-power by Madvapes the blue crush by Ace of Vapes the reo by reosmods . All of these are good The reo will be the most expensive There is another I got that you might take a look at and that is the Boge revolution It is a bottom feeder too. If you consider this one make sure you get the latest model. The ones with the 650 batteries weren't all that good but the latest models I like and for around 48. 00 it would be a nice mod to get before you sunk your money inot a more expensive model to see if you are going to like a mod or not

You'll get as many opinions as forum members. lol.

For me, it took 5 volt vaping to stay off the cigs. It's about voltage, more than battery size. Try a vv, 5v, or a 5v PT (with wall wart/AC adapter)... hits like a cig with 3.0 ohm atties. Course, you usually have to vape a box...........but they have some tube mods too. Depends on $$ range.

Good Luck!

Refilling is easy, but I can understand just wanting to vape-n-go and not make it some sort of hobby if you've got better things to do (personally, I LOVE having tons of hobbies - this being my newest, lol).

I like my clearos just the way they are, but being the hobbiest that I am, I ended up doing the mods to them instead of just replacing them when they finally lost their kick. Refilling clearos is a snap for me, but probably going to be a PITA if you're not the patient type...

BINGO! Why buy another PV $y$tem when you were happy with what ya had?
The carts have a built in atomizer.
I don't know about refilling these things...they get a pretty bad burnt taste. They've never had tons of vapor to begin with. I think there might be a quality control issue on the carts. Sometimes the vapor is decent. Not great, but decent. Other carts have so little that there's no vapor at all when I exhale.

I looked at the vapor kings from v4l, but I couldn't find info on how long the carts last. Anyone?

Thanks for all the replies, btw :)

You should buy, another with a greater battery i think Riva / Ego 650-1100mah can keep you one day without charging, if you craving for more vapor, try Dual Carto , i used mine until it gave up on me about 10-14 days. vapor production is very2 amazing.
If you using Dual Carto please dont use with battery below 450mah, it can kill your battrey
