Hi all,
I'm new to the world of vaping. I bought a crown 7 Hydro starter kit in my local smoke shop but was wondering if I can use other cartomizers with it since they only have reg tobacco and menthol flavors that really dont impress me. Their carts aren't that good anyway, they dont last too long and the amount of vapor is not nothing to write home about. Do u guys have any suggestions for me, thanks.

Female battery threads? My first guess would be RN4081, the usual female model of ripoff rebranders. My second guess would be 510 threading (does not mean 510 batteries would be compatible with your charger - it could fry them since some clones are reverse polarity)

With GOOD soft-cap cartomizers that are made well inside you can get 4-7 days or more use out of each if you use thinner light clear juices. Thinner 20% VG or less is what I use. Clear light juices that leave little or no flavoring sediment to clog the stuffing. However, you probably have automatic batteries and those can be damaged or killed much more easily by juice leaks so you have to be extra careful that the cartomizer is not going to leak.

With crappy cartomizers, sometimes even the 2nd fill tastes/drags badly.

I use manual Joye 510 w/ Boge 510 standard resistance blank cartomizers and KR808D-1 manuals (mine are from Vapor4Life) with Vapor4Life prefilled and blank cartos.

Sounds like you have started on your vaping journey, great, after reading the forum about new mods and starter kits, you may want to add an Ego or Kgo kit to your vaping supplies. That will give you a wider range of vaping experience and an easier route to finding great cartos and attys that are available for the 510 units.
