Ok, so I started off with a efox starter kit $89 came with 2 standard 510 batteries(automatic), 2 atomizers, 5 pre filled cartridges, a bottle of liquid, a charger, and a pcc. At first I loved it. I didn't like the juice it came with though, and the filling always gave me an awful taste.

Altogether I ended up buying juice from 3 different suppliers to see what I like and don't like, a set of fluxomizers and a set of clearomizers. I spent over $200 on my entire set up and am very dissatisfied. My efox cigs are not working or charging properly and I think they burned up my cartomizers because they are running really really hot. I wasted that $200 and am not happy at all.

After a little bit of looking, I realized the joyes are really popular. I am thinking of buying the joye ego-t kit and a few spare attys and tanks. I would like honest opinions if this is a good idea or not. I am NEVER making a purchase that costly again without seeking opinions lol. A question I have about the egos is that i've seen that there are type a cone shaped attys and tanks, and type b cylinder shape attys and tanks. Can these be used interchangeable with each other, or do I have to use a type A atty with a type A tank and vise versa?

Also, is there anything I need to know about before I take the kit out of the box and use it? Im tired of having to fiddle around with things. Im getting really frustrated with this whole thing to the point where I want a darn cigarette because i'm so stressed!!! I need something thats affordable and has a high success rate because i'm tired of throwing my money down the drain on failing batteries and burnt cartos... Ps Ive only been vaping 3 weeks!!! lol....any help would be awesome since i do not have a pv until whichever one I end up ordering tonight gets delivered to me...

I would suggest doing a search in the "Search ECF with Google" for ego-t reviews before buying one. Some people really love it, but they've fiddle with it and made it work. Others really hate them because of the fiddling that needs to be done to get the tanks and atties to wick properly.

The good news about them is that they can be used with ANY 510/eGo cartos, carts and atties, so if you don't like the tanks you won't be stuck.

A lot of people are really liking the Liquinator tank systems. I got to try one last night at our local vape meet and I really loved it!

The eGo is definitely much better than what you currently have. But an even better option in the "eGo" size is the E-Power. The batteries can be recharged 2000 times unlike the eGo batteries that have about a 200 recharge limit. The batteries are not "proprietary" like the eGo and only cost about $3.95 instead of the $12-$20 for an eGo battery.

I wouldn't reccommend the egoT but I would reccommend an ego. Anything but "T" really that's a fat size ecig, like epower, riva or ego. The Tanks you're talking about aren't fuss free. There's been a lot of problems with leaking, or underwicking or just not really working that great.

I have 4 egoT atomisers and have had success with them but they've been sitting unused for a long time. They really mute the flavour of juice is the main problem.

Instead, if you get the ego, I'd just get the standard ego kit. It'll come with some atomisers you can just drip straight into and order in some 2.5ohm boge cartomisers for on the go vaping.

There's other options out there like CE2 cartomisers (cracking and leaking problem), dual coil cartomisers, 510T (same wicking problems as egoT) and other stuff.

A set of ego batteries and atomisers is a really easy deal to use but much less portable, so again I'd say get yourself some 510 cartomisers as well because they're the best portable solution I've used so far on my ego.

The E-Power is a decent enough suggestion but I am going to throw mine into the ring. Buy or build a boxmod/nicostick and get some low resistance Cartomizers:

Boxmod:
2xAA Box Mod with slow change LED
(Madvapes also sells the parts to build one if you are technically inclined)

Charger:
AD-103 Multi-volt charger

Batteries:
Protected Trustfire 14500 Battery, 900 mAH
TrustFire Protected 14500 3.7V 900mAh Rechargeable Lithium Batteries (2-Pack) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme <-- Batteries are almost half the price since they come in packs of two from here, but shipping takes a couple/few weeks depending. 17$ for 6 batteries will last you nearly forever, once you get them that is :p

Cartomizers that I use and would highly reccomend (As long as you aren't using more than 3.7 volts these are great ... Notice the bad review is someone using 5v). These are truly fantastic and they are cheap =)
MadVapes 510 Dual Coil Black Cartomizer

They also sell E-Liquid at madvapes at a very budgety price of 11$ for 50 ml:
China E-Liquids

I build all my boxmods which further saves money since I value the time I don't have entirely too low, your results may vary. Personally I like the bigger switches on the boxmods and their look over the style of the EGO. Again, your tastes may be very different than mine.

Hi. First off the e power kit makes a lot of sense, since they take a separate battery in the tube and the batteries are much cheaper (always use protected batteries). And you'll get 3.7 vaping.
As far as the T tanks, they already have the atty in them. Tank A tip is not interchangeable with Tank B tip (the part you put the liquid in) because one is wider on top then the other. It's a matter of preference.
The ego won't give you the 3.7 vaping that it says it does, none the less it is a good system, if you're willing to spend the money on the larger batteries (1000 mah). I started with an Ego and since moved to mods. Now when you're ready, check these tanks out, they are amazing

If I could start over with what I know now:

I'd start off with an ego kit that comes with a few cartomizers:
MadVapes 510 Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer Kit

...and another box of cartomizers:
Refillable 510 Cartomizers

(the low resistance cartomizers seem to die on me too quickly, so I wouldn't get them to start)

...an extra charger or two:
510 420ma charger

...and a selection of juice that seems like it would fit my taste:
BlueMist Vaping Supplies

For what it is worth...my experience:
I started with a standard ego. Then I tried cartomizers. Then the tank system came out and I bought an tank atomizer and a pack of tanks. I stayed with that for a while...but...honestly, the cartomizers were better. I liked the tank because I didn't have to fill it up more than twice a day, but it just didn't give me enough vapor. After a while, I bought a low res tank atomizer, but I still wasn't too pleased with it. I went back to cartomizers.

I thought my two ego batteries were dead, but it seems they just struggle with the last box of low resistance cartomizers I bought. As a replacement, I bought an epower and a variable voltage mod (Turbo from Vaprlife - VaprlLife Products). I also bought a box of 3.5 ohm cartomizers, one ego battery that needs to be modified to charge properly and a cheap $10 510 kit (I like having backups :)). I find the size of the epower and the Turbo to be HUGE in comparison to the ego...but the higher voltage in the Turbo is awesome.

I found my old ego batteries work fine with the 3.5 ohm cartomizers, but the battery life isn't what it used to be (and I haven't taken the time to work on the new battery). So I take my ego batteries and a charger to work. I keep the turbo in my backpack as a backup. When home, I typically use the Turbo and my pass through. The epower (and a few extra batteries and a charger) are also in my backpack (did I mention I like having backups?). I'm not really sure what I did with that little 510 :(.

A no-brainer ecig like an Ego is a good choice. With your frustration level I'd pass on the tank-type and go with a regular Ego or Kgo for higher volt battery and 1100 mAh. Looks/works like an Ego but the hit is noticibly better and at 1100 mAh a batt will probably last you at least a day. Grab a box of cartos to go with whatever kit you choose. The LR cartomizers and atomizers are nice on these ecigs. It simulates high-voltage vaping without the hassles. You can get a Kgo kit from Breezesmokes or Hoosierecigsupply, both ECF suppliers. Which fat batt doesn't really matter. The supplier does. Choose one from ECF and you'll breath a little easier knowing you've got support. Good luck to you.

I would say skip the kit...... Get a 650 or 1000mah joye ego pass through, 650 or 1000mah standard battery plus charger.... A couple of ego cones to mach if you want the look... a couple of atomizers and a pack of boge cartomizers or 2..... Don't forget a drip for dripping to taste you juice before dirtying up a carto... for around 60-70 bucks all from freedom flights make sure to click the 20% banner... Most Kits they give you what they think you need not what you may want or really need... It may cost a few more bucks to piece together... In the end more practical I think

I would definitely start with a passthrough joye ego so you can charge and vape at the same time and work around that.....

Vaping is nothing like smoking you open a pack you pull one out light and puff.... There will always be some fiddling unfortunately... Unless you stay with a prefilled cartomizer...

i have a joye ego and a totally wicked (ego tank system rebranded) tank system. For me i have had no issues with leaks but my wife does. Its something shes doing because we ll trade back and forth and she just does something weird to them. Im no pro but on the tanks i cant taste the flavor to much but i didnt on the ego cartridges much either. On the cartridges I would drop a few drops on the end about every 10 to 20 puffs or i would get a burnt taste from the polyfil so a drip tip would would have probably been the same thing. try ordering a 510 tank system to try out. much cheaper and some people prefer it to the reg ego system. I love my tank system though.

I would not recommend an Ego-T, but get at least a pair of Ego-T 1000mAh batteries (or ego-T 1000mAh passthrough), an ego-T charger, and 2 box of Boge LR cartomizers. The fiddling is minimal, you'll need to fill your cartos, charge your batteries, and that's all. No more topping up while you vape or wiping leaks off your hands and batteries. Great flavor, throat hit, vapor production. Why must an ego (Joyetech) batteries? It's because when you are planning to get yourself an Ego Booster, only an original ego (or ego-T) batteries will work with it. What's an ego booster? Well that's another story.

Observations from a complete a total newbie here. I have been browsing this forum as I look to make my choice. I have settled on the eGo-T (Type B with LR NOT the Type A) myself and here are the things I can comment on when comparing things back and forth.

Why the eGo-T = Flat out convenience. Less work and less fuss but at a slightly higher running cost from everything I'm reading so far. I don't want to deal with dripping or refilling carts with tissue etc. Although, I can see why some do but as a complete newcomer to Vaping (soon hopefully) I don't want to deal with carts and everything else that goes with it. In some ways I'm thankful I'm not an old hand like most on these boards. I'll have an easier time accepting the tank systems idiosyncrasies and flavor due to less experience with other devices.

Anyway, back to the eGo and my research gathered thus far. BUYER BEWARE - That includes some of the suppliers on these boards. As I've stated I want the eGo-T and have found the package I want from Heavens Gift but I'm just flat out leery of ordering from China so I'm looking for a USA supplier. This is the package I'm looking at 1000mAh USB Joye eGo-T starter kits with Type B atomizers - Joye eGo-T starter kits Heaven Gifts

1000mAh USB Joye eGo-T starter kits with Type B atomizers (Where the above link goes to) Btw? Is that 1000mAh a mislabel? I keep seeing 900 mAh on US sites....anyway. Why Type B? I'm sure you have read it on the forums but the consensus most have seems to be that the larger tank plus the LR atomizers give it that extra punch the Type A lacked.

Now, why Buyer Beware? Say what you wish but Heavens Gift gives a very detailed account on the starter kit and explains EXACTLY what you are getting. Most, but not all, of the suppliers I've clicked links from on this site will fail in that fact. Most will list the battery type (Not all, don't make assumptions!) which is almost always the 650 mAh. Yet, almost all will fail to list if it is a the Type A or Type B model. I said almost, there are notable exceptions to this and if you are one of the sites who make these types of distinctions... my hat goes off to you. The others, it might be time to review your site because I certainly won't be buying from it while the details of the kit aren't listed.

Also, when comparing it to the Epower, which I honestly was interested in but the deal killer for me was no Tank. From all that I have read the Epower is in many ways superior to the eGo-T as long as one ignores the "T". I love the fact it has non proprietary batteries. I love that it is completely modular as well. If it had a tank, I'd be wanting to buy it instead.

Anyway, a reminder. I have never owed a single device. I can't compare devices from personal experience. All I can do is relate why I chose the eGo-T after reading these forums and warn you of a few dangers when buying them. So, I'm not recommending it but only posting what I know because you are interested in it as well.

BTW, hello everyone and thank you for all the information I'm still gathering these boards. I appreciate the time and effort to those who take the time to explain everything in so much detail.

My ego-t kit has been working great for the last month. The atties will eventually clog but a quick dry burn returned them to a very usable condition.

I don't plan on buying anymore ego-t atties, however, as I ordered a liquinator tank. I see this as being a much easier and most importantly cheaper long-term solution.

Ok, I've been lookin at a lot of reviews and I think the kgo might be a good fit. Could I use the dual coil cartos on it? what ohm would be good 1.25, 1.5 ,or 2.0? Or does anyone thing that is a bad decision? Like I stated earlier, I want to be positive this time lol

This is hilarious considering that personal vaporizers and all liquid, etc were invented in China. And Heaven Gifts is one of the most well respected suppliers on ECF with better customer service than most US suppliers.
