So, it's hard to accidentally change the setting on a Kick? Awesome. Good to know. I think I'm starting to lean that way then. Perhaps something with an 18500/18490 tube and an 18350 battery.... That'll be one of the smallest combos with a kick, correct? Are button tops or flat tops better for a Kick, and which mods are recommended? I hear the Stingray is rather small. Will a Kick fit with that in any of its sizes? I think I'm going to go the clone route at first, to see about how a mech works and to see if there's anything about a certain model that could stump my husband as he's changing batteries or something.

That reminds me, will he have to reinstall the kick each time he switches batteries? I can picture it going in upside down or something equally careless.... I don't think he'd purposely sabotage any of his devices, but he certainly wouldn't care if it failed. He'd go grab a cigarette from my mother in law, who lives on the other side of our duplex. He'd rather be smoking.

The Nemisis has a kick ring, right? Maybe I'll go with that....

1
To change the setting on the kick you have to take the kick out, and make the adjustment with a screwdriver on that blue thing shown below;

2
Yes the smallest will be 19350 I guess;
That's 35mm + about 15mm for the kick = 50 mm for battery plus kick.
If you use a telescopic mech, then the telescoping means you should have enough room to adjust for length; that's why I posted that telescopic pipe looking thingy; can't attest to the build quality, but it is small.

3
The kick sits on the positive pole of the battery; so to remove the battery without touching the kick you remove the battery from the bottom just like with a provari or such other mods.

Any ideas on a very small, kickable, mod? I was looking at the infinite stingray as it's been mentioned so much, but is the firing button so bad that it takes a good amount of fiddling to work, or is it simply just crunchy and annoying? Also, I like the look of the Turtle ship. Then again, this isn't my mech mod I'm shopping for. Somehow, I need to talk my husband into going to a brick and morter to see what HE likes I suppose. Cross my fingers and hope he doesn't insist on yet another iTaste VV v3.

the k100-101 is one I'm looking at:

For the Thread starter and possibly yourself, I bought a K-100 from Fasttech and the 510 threads are stripped now. The pin in mine only 'floated' so much. I had to crank on my atty's to get them flush, which ended up stripping it out. It worked fine, but a big gap under the atty's is something I can't stand.

This is the one I bought. $23.24 Empire KeCig K100 Mechanical Rechargeable Electronic Cigarettes - black / no battery at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I wish I had a recommendation for a mech + kick combo other than the Nemesis, but my kick sits on a shelf most of the time. If I'm using it, it's in my Nemesis clone which the button is almost stripped out too. I blame my big dumb hands.

So with your nemesis you can use a 18650 and a kick?

I been noticing you have to choose carefully even if you get a nemesis you have to check the 'maximum battery length' because when you check different nemesis or king clones on fasttech, that figure can vary.

That compact Vamo is interesting. Unfortunately I'd heard so many bad things about them. It feels like a lot of people who went with Provari went with it because they already went through multiple Vamo's. Then again, these horror stories were mostly read over on Provapes board so I can see things being skewed over there. Can they take rough handling?

So with your nemesis you can use a 18650 and a kick?

Yes, you can use a kick with 18650, 18490/18500, and 18350 in my Nemesis copy.

This one- $24.63 Nemesis Style Mechanical Mod - stainless steel / with telescopic 510 contact pin at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

A Hana mini might be the ticket. They are also starting to come out with copies of the Hana mods for much cheaper if you are OK with buying copies/clones. I've never used this before but here's a link to one of the clones out there right now.

$62.25 HANA MODZ Mini Pack DNA 20 Style Battery Pack - 7W-20W at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I don't know how that newer small Vamo performs. My V2 Vamos have been real workhorses and still going well after a year. Vamo have been hugely popular. In the way that it seems like everyone has an MVP2, it was prior to that as if everyone had a Vamo. Yes, there were some problems - but compared to the number sold I'd say they were not many. If buying one I would recommend stainless steel as lighter and more durable. They are a bit weighty tho - not a light mod.

Just read your post, here's a few answers I can provide
- The kick doesn't fit in the Stingray
- Smallest mec with a kick would probably be the Nemesis. Might need to sand down the "rice pin" a bit to prevent the switch from unscrewing, but still is one of the easiest mod to start with.
- To stay in the small batteries area, the Vision Spinner II is just released, might be enough if you stick to cartos
- The Vamo is nice for beginners, but it's huge and the connexion is quite fragile.
- Smallest high end electro must be the Orion, might be a bit difficult to find one, but they're great ^^
- And then there's PipelinePro/Dani Dicodes, DNA20/30 boxes and so on, but that must be too complicated compared to what you're looking for ^^

Darn it! The Stingray just looks really nice. Especially the black one. I've been thinking about putting it together for myself! Is it inner diameter?

Why do you say you can't use a kick with a Stingray? I just ordered a clone and every place I look it says it's kickable.

Actually, I just looked into it myself, and it appears to be kickable... Found some in stock at Vaperev that I'm absolutely drooling over. The black one is actually less expensive then the Phantom Brass one, and I want it sooo bad. Forget Hubby. I'm in the market for myself damn it!

Edit: Whoops. Nevermind. Not in stock. Clone shopping it is...
