You don't need a syringe to fill the tank. You can just take off the cap and fill from your drip-tip bottle. However, I do use a syringe because I'm still worried that taking that cap off and putting it back on all the time might loosen the seal, but I haven't heard about it happening yet.

If you want a syringe, any gauge will do--that hole is plenty big. I'd go with the big needle for ease of operation, like 14-16g. I heve a 18 g. You may also use oiler bottles. Look for short and thick needles.

I know. Isn't it nice? I'm so tired of all those high maintenence cartos and atties. I'm retiring my vaping toolbox!

Once the hole is opened, I use a pipette to fill my tanks.

That's brilliant! I just tried it. I have a bunch of them and it never occurred to me to use them. Thank you so much for the tip!

I love this forum. :toast:

I prefer using a 5cc syringe. No fuss, no muss, and no popping caps all night long. A 14 gauge needle will fit nicely in the tank hole and take care of either PG or VG liquid for you. The higher the gauge, the smaller the needle opening.

Same here! I'm currently using an 18ga blunt for my VG, but find it takes too long! Going to be trying 14ga and 16ga for my VG, which I understand work excellent to fill the tank too! As Reggie said, the higher the number, the smaller the needle opening!

Should be able to pop the caps off without a screwdriver... Although some can be a little stubborn I guess.

I generally fill with a syringe, but if I am in a hurry or being lazy, I will pop the caps off and fill them. You definitely don't need to have one to fill, but using it will likely make the carts last a little longer. You could always just get a bunch of extras and use the caps, that IS how the system was designed to be used.

I just use my fingernail and pop it off and fill it with the eyedropper cap from my glass bottle. I know exactly how much it takes so I can almost do it in the dark. I've done it that way about 30 times on one tank and so far no leakage. It's just as tight as the first day. I use 6mL glass bottles with the eyedropper caps and get 5 fillings from one bottle. It makes it easy when I leave the house to have just one small bottle and an extra battery with me for the day. I also like that it doesn't ever get the dry, burnt taste so I don't have to rotate with another setup when I chain vape.

Do remember that they need you to purchase more. The more you remove and replace the cap, the more wear and tear and this leads to replacement costs. As for the pipettes, juice tends to stick to the sides and I see this as a loss. I can never empty a pipette, more money needed to purchase juice.
A syringe does a better job. Less hassle, no juice wasted and easy to clean and reuse. I despise needles as much as the next person but a girl has got to do what a girl has got to do.

There are two ridges/indentations on the sides of the tank. Put your fingernail in one of those, under the cap, and pop it right off. Sometimes it's easier on one side than the other. I don't "pull" with my fingernail, I keep my palm down and flick forward and up....so the cap goes forward. Easy, and quick.

I've been doing this all along and have never had a problem with leaking once the caps back on. It just snaps on.

#1 : In regards to the OP question...any syringe will fit (probably even an oral syringe). As someone else said, the viscosity of your liquid will be the determining factor.

#2: In regards to the popping off the top caps... I started with a pack of 5 carts. Lost one down the running garbage disposal  and have been using the other 4 for about 2 weeks now. I marked them just so I know which ones I've been using and because I was vaping one flavor for a couple of days I repeatedly used one cart.

I did finally have some leakage issues, but it was pretty minor. So, while I think it is probably unnecessary to avoid popping the cap off... I think for overall longevity using a syringe would be more beneficial and ultimately save you money on carts. As people said before me, plastic will break down with repeated stress whether it's made by NASA or JoyE.

Side note: some folks say you can drip directly into the open hole that the atty pierces in the tank, I think this is probably true but seems a little messy so I haven't tried it.

I soak up too much nicotine in my skin as it is already!
