Here lately I've been stuck on vaping Artemis. I've been diy for a couple of months now. And so I decided to try and make a sample of some delicious Artemis. (Some type of Beery cobbler (maybe blackberry?) Every attempt has want down the drain. I can't seem to figure it out. I've tried blackberry, pie crust, Graham cracker (clear), caramel candy, and Just can't seem to get that flavor to taste Good. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Check out the DIY part of the forum. Welcome and happy vaping!!! Hope you find your answers there.

I really appreciate the kinds words about Artemis. I spent months developing that flavor to be what is. My recommendation to you as a mixer is to discover your own flavors instead of trying to "clone" mine. Being a mixer is not about copying what others have done it's about creating something you can call your own. I really hope you rethink your business model because you will not make it far riding others coat tails.

Oh damn, making an account just to respond. Kudos, a lot of juice manufacturers would never take the time/wouldn't notice.

That said though, I don't think fulldemonjay is trying to recreate your flavor as a matter of trying to "learn your secret formula," I don't think he's trying to do that at all. It sounds like he just enjoys your juice a bunch, and got into DIY'ing, and wants to figure out what exactly goes into making your juice so he can save himself some money. While yes, it does mean in the end, that's one customer who may not be buying as much juice from you, it also means someone likes your juice so much that he wants to decode it. I can understand that entirely, personally I've tried juices that I've thought, "man if there was a TINY bit more cotton candy I think that'd take it to the next level." Imagine if I were a chef, and I made you a grilled cheese, I wouldn't be offended if you went home and tried to recreate that grilled cheese with the exact proportions I had used. In the end, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Also, just to throw in another example, when I am making a website for someone, I look at other websites that they might be interested, or might be looking to imitate their "style", because when you think about it, nothing is original, and everything is made by example. The letters I'm using to arrange these words in this sentence have been used in this exact order somewhere before.

    Actually,

I have been a member of ECF for years as you can see on my profile I have not been active for awhile.

This guy is not just a DYI'er. He is a store and has already emailed us trying to get the flavorings to make it. Also his post states "clone" which is a copy of something that I designed.

I am flattered that he would want to create it which is why I gave him some very good advice. To create his own flavors. The joy I get from creating something unique is what keeps me going.

    Sincerely,

Something tells me we may not hear any more from him, although he does seem to have some big cojones.

In defense of my welcome, I had no idea of this guys back story and honestly believed he was like a lot of folks who eat at certain restaurants or DYI ejuice who think, I'd love to play around and make something similar at home. I certainly didn't think he was wanting to duplicate and SELL someone else's recipe as his own, just create something to remind him of something wonderful he had consumed or vaped. I certainly didn't mean to harm/insult anyone at Cyclops, they are on my list of favorite vapes!

Artemis is my #1 juice right now and has been ever since i first had it about 2 months ago!! Congrats on such a wonderfully delicious creation!! I just started trying my hand at DIY juice and it is so much more difficult than anything I've done with vaping. Mainly because of all the trial and error and steeping and waiting and ALL the different types of flavorings and percentages of PG, VG and Nic! So many variables! And then taste testing is also a real PITA too! I have a much better appreciation for good quality ejuice now!! :toast: Sorry if I just turned people off to trying DIY! :|

Here's what's great about this thread: I have a bottle of Artemis steeping right now! Can't wait!!

The one thing I will say about the cloners is that it eventually leads people back to the original. Look how many clones of Boba's bounty were circulating a year or so ago including that horrible rip off. Most of those folks ended up buying Boba's anyway if, for no other reason, than to see if what they've been vaping compares. Most then continue on with the original.
